Don't even get me started on the Iran deal. When we learned of the 14-day "protocol", when we learned that the Iranians were to be the main ones inspecting and when we recently learned a couple of months ago that the Iranians didn't even have a signed and verified copy, we should've all knew the deal went to (*)(*)(*)(*).

(Nevertheless, the worst POTUS seems to thrill in negotiating with non-Republicans. Since they'll gladly accept him rolling over for them lol.)

If I were taking over from President Incompetent, the first thing I'd do is draft up a new plan: A world-NATO like proposal for all of the world's non-nuclear powers. Very basically, if a nation is a non-nuclear power it will be protected by the World Unity Organization(Code for the US basically :) )

By drafting up such an alliance, we give Iran a clear choice: If it's really a non-nuclear power, it will join the Pact. If it refuses, the entire world is Iran's enemy. Such external pressure will put Iran back on the table for a deal that actually ALIGNS with US interest.

I'm still waiting to see what the carbon foot print for the summit was, anyone have that info? Probably higher than a small country's annual output...

500b - do you realize how little that is? I haven't seen the details on this most recent plan, but the estimates of the economic cost of compliance with Kyoto was in the trillions per year, not the billions. I'm all for taking action, but we can't just do whatever, we have to take the most cost effective measures. Revitalizing and subsidizing nuclear is actually the most cost effective way of fighting climate change - but you won't hear the environmentalists push for it because there's a "big nuclear" just like there's a "big oil" they like to make the boogeyman out of.

If we want to minimize CO2 pollution we need to go nuclear, and end the more recent and costly regulations which have only served to increase the cost of business.

The planet does not need saving, it will save itself.

The planet will survive both hot and cold climates regardless of the cause.

Ice ages to asteroids the planet has been there and done that.

    ....rarely hear about asteroid defense.

Bet the toxic gas was CO2. Now with this climate change deal, there won't be anymore of that. Take that ISIL!

I'll make a prediction: after all the cheering, smiling, bon homie and happy-clapping when the agreement was announced, it will be only a matter of time before the first of many cases of sneakily infringing the terms of the accord will be revealed. I'll give it a couple of weeks. Blimey I'm so cynical it frightens me.

time for my favorite quote :)

    CEO Nwabudike Morgan
Resources exist to be consumed. And consumed they will be, if not by this generation then by some future. By what right does this forgotten future seek to deny us our birthright? None I say! Let us take what is ours, chew and eat our fill.

every time I am reminded about how awful we are as a people for polluting the world, especially by wealthy liberals, I think about the homes they are going home to tonight... I think about the 10x amount of energy those homes consume compared to mine... I think about the 10x more water they require for their lawns than mine... I think about the 10x more space and material it took to build their home over mine... and then I wonder, when will we pass a law forcing them to live the correct way? instead of them passing laws forcing me to live a certain way while they continue to abuse mother earth with all their waste?

whats good for the goose is good for the gander, lets ban and outlaw every mercedes, bmw, porsche, ferrari, limo, yacht, private jet, and the other wasteful items they own... instead of them passing new laws and regulations that continue year after year to add on another thousand dollars to the cost of a car for the rest of us... when will it be time for the rich to live in a 2000sqft house instead of their luxury estate mansions wasting such valuable resources we only have one chance to get right... when will they finally be compelled to live within their earth footprint instead of forcing us to live that way...

but then I think, its a good thing for them I'm conservative, or I'd become another liberal who breaks from the party and starts eating its own...

I only wish more liberals would start eating their other liberals who will not comply simply because they have excessive wealth and power... eat your own liberals!

Science is right. Those of you who back AGW should try using it instead of listening to the politicians.

Really? Is it the science you agree with that is right or the science that you don't agree with?

Climate change and carbon taxes are the biggest scam ever perpetrated on mankind.. WC Fields was wrong, you can fool all the people, at least enough of them to monopolize the entire planet.

No, Congress can't take a look at "it" because NOAA won't give "it" to them. Congress even subpoenaed NOAA, but they ignored it.

What right wing knuckle draggers seem to forget is science is true whether you believe in it or not.

Well then, which science, the alarmist science that fits your bias or all the other science you don't want to face? For instance, alarmists want to believe in the science of the least coverage and most adjusted temperature data set but do not want to believe in the better satellite data sets.

You don't get to use science as an argument when the bias of your entire argument is that science is wrong and your right wing conspiracy nuts are correct.

You don't get to use science as an argument when the bias of your entire argument is that you can ignore inconvenient science for your political ideology of 'saving the planet'. Of course, you can ignore the science that doesn't fit your political bias and be a true science denier.

It must be peer reviewed. In other words the high priests of AGW must agree on it. Sort of like an ecumenical council

Well, it wasn't right wing propaganda that proved the Sahara Desert was once a green lush land, that was science.
And it wasn't right wing propaganda that proved there was an Ice Age that eventually disappeared because of natural global warming, that was also science.

So to think global warming is man made because of 200 years of weather records, well, not only are you naive, you're the tea calling the kettle black!

Got it. All the scientists who have produced science showing man made climate change is real are all wrong and all you deniers are right. Good thing we have true patriots, who are not scientists, to refute all those smart liberals and their science. Them darn smart people and their learning things.

    No you don't have it.

People like you are blinded by politics and an idealism that thinks all of science is on your side, it's not even close.
If you were truly searching for the truth, you'd be acknowledging peer reviewed scientific studies that discount man's participation in climate change. But that would likely challenge your preconcieved position.
