Obama supporters -- do you agree with Rush that you are "low information voters'

Question for Obama supporters -- do you agree with Rush that you are "low information voters.'

Rush didn't invent the concept of "low information voter" -- it came from Time Magazine, who noted that Obama was a master of getting elected through manipulation of "low information voters."

A "low information voter" as far as I can tell, spends more time keeping track of TV reality shows than they do politics.

So they know more about the Kardashians then they do about Obamacare.

So how about it PF liberals? Do you agree with Rush that the reason you support Obama is because you are basically, ignorant people who are easily manipulated?

 

Thanks for posting this. I thought Rush came up with this. Oh well, I guess this is much like the "Magic Negro" attack liberals made against Rush, not realizing it was the LA Times that coined the phrase.

At any rate, I suspect most low information voters are too dumb to even to realize they're low information voters.

 

Libs aren't the only "low information voters" out there. You can't explain the support all the cons in this Country gave to Obama's big statist clone Romney.

I would agree that low information voters exist on both the left and right. It couldn't really be otherwise since only a very tiny percentage of people actually go to the trouble of keeping themselves informed. If your main source of news is one of the big 3 news networks with a little Jon Stewart or Jay Leno monologue thrown in, you are probably too uninformed to make intelligent voting decisions. But right now it's the people in charge that are appealing to that demo, and doing it successfully. The President's speech in Florida is a perfect example of appealing to low information voters, or "dummies" as I call them.

 

You know how I know Obama isn't serious about fighting drugs? It would e a simple fix to stop most pain pill abuse. First make them in the shape of ninja stars then make them all a suppository. Done fixed.

I think there are just as many L.I.V.'s on the right as on the left and to try to quantify such would be impossible.

 

The whole premise is stupid. There are low information voters on both side.

Rush Limbaugh is a very well paid, very successful entertainer- who says what he think his audience will feed off of. I consider all of his fans to be 'low information voters'- but I give this to Rush- he has made lots more money than I am likely to make.

If you don't want to hear comments about Rush Limbaugh, then don't make him part of the subject.

Pretty much this. I have noticed that the extremes of both sides seem think it is exclusively those on the other side that are LIV's.

You most certainly can. If you are forced to eat a crap sandwich and your choice is a large crap sandwich or a small crap sandwich most people would intuitively pick the small.

 

My experience has been that those who use that phrase are the most lacking of true information ans bleat like sheep.

This was a common device and wasn't coined by the reporter who was being critical of how some tried to paint the then candidate. Rush in his ignorance jumped on it for his racist audience who likely never read literary criticism. So what does low information mean again?

 

Kinda how I feel about Obama. The guy has no business being on a paper route much less President of the United States.

i started listening to rush occasionally years ago just to see what the enemy was up to. i was surprised to find that i actually agreed with him about half the time and that, aside from his tendency to exaggerate, his information was fairly accurate. i still find him to be an obnoxious boor, but his first duty is to keep his audience entertained and they seem to like him like that.

the low information voter certainly isn't new, we've had these people around forever. what is new is that they now seem to think that the sound bytes given out by talking heads are informing them and they aren't low information voters at all. i didn't mind them so much when they actually knew how ignorant they were, but voted anyway. it does bother me when they cast their ballots in line with the lies and half-truths of the liberal establishment and actually think they are doing something good. they bleat on and on about the poor and the oppressed and they "know" exactly who is to blame because some damn fool told them so. it really is an ages old story, but the speed at which the manure is spread has gotten faster and faster. we may all be in danger of drowning in the rancid feces that these fools are drinking in like mother's milk. i tend to look at today's average voter the same way i look at the religious. i feel sorry for them the same way i feel sorry for that slow kid down the street who just isn't quite smart enough to come in out of the rain.

 

Rush is a fat-ass hypocrite, bigot, liar, and demagogue.

what he says about us is kinda meaningless.

There are plenty of low information voters on both sides of the aisle. Ignoramuses come in all shapes and sizes.

 

But your side has most of the welfare class voting for you, and you have to admit these aren't the sharpest people.
