Obama weighs 19 executive actions on gun control ahead of Wednesday announcement President Obama is weighing as many as 19 different gun control measures that he could take without congressional approval, as he prepares to unveil a comprehensive plan on Wednesday to address gun violence amid claims from Republicans that he's overstepping his bounds. The president plans to reveal the details of that plan shortly before noon on Wednesday, joined by children who wrote him letters on the issue, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said. Carney stressed that Obama believes a "significant" part of the plan would include congressional action, but declined to specify what actions the president might take via executive order. During the final press conference of his first term, Obama said Monday that he will "vigorously pursue" the recommendations he received from the Vice President Biden-led task force. It's unclear how many of the 19 options the president would eventually take up. Those options could include more aggressively enforcing existing gun laws, beefing up national research on guns and ordering stricter action against people who lie on gun sale background checks. They could include ordering tougher penalties for gun-trafficking offenses and ordering federal agencies to make data on gun crimes more readily available. The president has already voiced support for separate legislative measures in Congress, like the renewal of the assault weapons ban. That is expected to face the toughest opposition in Congress. But Biden, who led the gun violence task force and met with the president Monday, indicated the group is also pressing for limits on high-capacity magazines -- as well as background checks for anyone seeking to purchase a gun. Carney reiterated Tuesday that Obama still wants those measures pursued. Such changes "make sense," Obama said. He said lawmakers will have to "examine their own conscience" in the debate ahead. Really? Then how did Barack Obama who supported the complete banning of handguns by law abiding citizens in their own homes in Washington D.C. and Chicago get it so Constitutionally WRONG? You do recall the Supreme Court slapped him down and gave the citizens the right to own and bear arms in those cases? Barack Obama does not know his hand from his ass when it comes to the 2nd Amendment.

That is the claim of the OP- the title of the thread itself. So one of the 7 of 19 items must be clearly unconstitutional- right? Hmmm. Got me stumped.
At someone in congress looks like they have some stones. Seriously, congress has been kinda been kicked around. Write your Rep, and tell him how much you don't like congressmen who won't stand up for the rights of their angry gun toting constituents.
