A neutrino (/nuːˈtriːnoʊ/ or /njuːˈtriːnoʊ/, originally [nɛuˈtrino]) is an electrically neutral, weakly interacting elementary subatomic particle[4] with half-integer spin. The neutrino (meaning "little neutral one" in Italian) is denoted by the Greek letter ν (nu). All evidence suggests that neutrinos have mass but that their masses are tiny, even by the standards of subatomic particles.

Neutrinos do not carry any electric charge, which means that they are not affected by the electromagnetic force that acts on charged particles, such as electrons and protons. Neutrinos are affected only by the weak subatomic force, which is of much shorter range than electromagnetism, and gravity, which is relatively weak on the subatomic scale. Therefore, a neutrino typically passes through normal matter unimpeded.

Neutrinos can be created in several ways, including in certain types of radioactive decay, in nuclear reactions such as those that take place in the Sun, in nuclear reactors, and when cosmic rays hit atoms. In the Sun, the proton–proton chain reaction begins with the fusion of two protons into helium-2, which immediately undergoes beta decay to deuterium, a positron and an electron neutrino. The process conserves the lepton number by producing a lepton (the neutrino) and an antilepton (the positron). There are three types, or "flavors", of neutrinos: electron neutrinos, muon neutrinos and tau neutrinos. Each type is associated with an antiparticle, called an "antineutrino", which also has neutral electric charge and half-integer spin. Whether or not the neutrino and its corresponding antineutrino are identical particles has not yet been resolved.

Most neutrinos passing through the Earth emanate from the Sun. About 65 billion (6.5×1010) solar neutrinos per second pass through every square centimeter perpendicular to the direction of the Sun in the region of the Earth.
'I thought I had something there but there still is an issue!

    Oh well!!

    I will

    figure it out eventually!

Don't know exactly what you are trying to figure out. But there are plenty of experiments that are underground, this reduces the sun's influence somewhat, and the search for the 'sterile' neutrino is still unresolved as far as I know. So unless we know the direction that you want to go and/or the results you are looking for, how can we share our two-cents on it?

All possible realities do not necessarily exist. The number of possible realities that have been computed may well exceed the number of realities that have been manifested in any substantial way. Both types have been explored and experienced by OOBErs.

Computation and recording of possible realities does not put a lot of demand on resources. Actualization and management of realities does. Infinite numbers of beings and worlds are probably a mixture of real and virtual phenomena.

Our computers are just not that good, or large enough, to record infinity.

But, for the sake of argument let's say the computers record just enough to get the basic gist or it, and then they record in weak memory so that it's there for a moment and then it's gone when we aren't using it anymore.

The trade off for not using space is that this would still take time. It would use up a lot of time, running and rerunning the recording, recording again just to relearn what we need, time we don't have. We have maybe 10 billion years left before the Universe's expansion comes to a halt and starts shrinking, that's the latest idea.

We aren't going to record the multiverse or create virtual universes with current technology. We need to plug into the existing universe for the next step in computing.

The more improbable realities are said to be discarded and not kept in permanent memory. Explorers can cause them to be recomputed, but they are again discarded if they still carry no significance.

Relative to our domain, time is not an issue. Nesting of loops provides extraordinary speeds. We are molasses compared to the levels above.

Right, there's a huge difference in capacity between our computers and the one(s) running the universe and multiverse.

Do you people realise the ramifications for this?????

Arnold will have to give back his MR.Universe titles, and reapply for a Mutliverse one.

Not necessarily. He could be Mr. Universe in this universe, but get beaten out for Mr. Multiverse by Bill Gates from another universe.

Okay, here we go. The Neutrino oscillates between several flavors as it travels: Electron, Muon, and Tau. Why isn't it in a superposition of all three?

    WOW!!!

You did your reading very well!!

Yes they set up Neutrino Detectors deep...deep underground but that is not what I am working on.

I am trying to figure out WHY Neutrino's which are a particle with a Micro Mass....do not cause massive amounts of damage and case disruption of Atomic Electron Fields even if they are a Neutral Particle they exist in such great numbers there should be issues of collisions with tomic Neucleuses to a much greater extet.

When I or you type as we post OUR FINGER TIPS NEVER COME IN PHYSICAL CONTACT WIT THE HARDONS OF AN ATOM'S NUCLEUS!!!

The Orbital Electron Fields whixh are Negatively Charged REPEL EACH OTHER....thus the Atoms that make up my finger tips and the Atoms that make up the key's we presss to type......NEVER COME IN CONTACT WITH EACH OTHER!!!

The Neutrino's are very tint and the excuse so far as why there is not any major disruption in the Matter they pass through is because that is what they are doing....PASSING THROUGH THEM.

But considering the number of Neutron's it is a STATISTICAL IMPOSSIBILITY that they all pass through.

See where I am going with this?

    Nice post Dennis.

I was reading this article about how an American Physicist had to travel with his Indian Escort down one of the deepest mine sharfts on the planet and as this takes sme time the deeper they got the higher the temp. got until they were both drenched in sweat as they came to the bottom where they had their water source.

The hottest place I have ever been in in DEATH VALLEY CALIFORNIA....the hottest location on Planet Earth.

    The heat was...unreal!!!

AboveAlpha...… I am sure that you have noticed this over the years....... scientists and inventors and educators and physicians in North America have been expected to be clones of Richard Dawkins Ph. D. There are groups of very bright people who...… might tend to dislike you....... or be biased against your ideas...… due to the fact that you are not angry enough against aspects of spirituality.

They....... might look down on you simply because you don't have their same view of all things "spiritual."

Dr. Chaim Henry Tejman faced biases like this all his life........

Just as no mathematical formula could predict the way that women behave....... so also it may be extremely difficult to come up with one formula that could predict the behavior of a neutrino.

This is a truly weird idea........... but.......... could a neutrino later on be found to have a higher level of something that almost resembles empathy or compassion?????

Could these neutrino's have something that resembles consciousness...… and could they actually move...… almost consciously in order to avoid hitting another particle??????

    http://www.grandunifiedtheory.org.il/Book7/SupernovaExplosion.htm

I may be wrong about this.... but Dr. Chaim Tejman writes somewhat like somebody who may have had OOBE or even an NDE??!

Listen....the Human Mind...and depending on the mind we might be talking about here....is capable of so much.

The problem is that many people allow their Political or Religious Ideology to get into the way of REALITIES!!!

I thin You might be one of the very few people I told about the results of a certain few tests I took....as I correct?

Just say yes or no because if it is no there is no point in continuing what I was going to posts.

OK....now that that is out of the way....I have certain......things.....I can do with my mind.

It's not like I can more objects or something crazy like that although I am sure their might be a few people who can.....I am able not only to think outside the box....but outside the box that the box is in and then outside that as well.

There are a few Physicists I call friends...I have posted about one of them here as both of us are signed up to the same Group and because of this we have apperence clauses in our contracts and believe me....NEITHER of us enjoys this!!!

When we met each other we were just so happy to have someone we could TALK TO!!!

I have never been concerned about what other people think.

That is because if I am wrong....I will be happy to be set straight!!

    Some other people....not so much.

I don't envy your task on figuring out the Neutrino.

It only interacts through the Weak Force and with the Higgs field. It doesn't interact with electromagnetism... Unless the multiverse itself somehow provides a way for that interaction...

Another thing was whether or not a Neutrino and Antineutrino are really the same particle. I think that an antineutrino cancels out a neutrino, but I'm not sure they are the same particle.

I don't see how they could interact in any way with electromagnetism since they have no charge.

    That's correct!

I went in the wrong direction when AboveAlpha said Electron fields. But really he probably meant the Weak Force.

You know....your posts are getting very good.

Your mentioning of the Antineutrino is one of the things I am trying to work out as far as how it relates to existing within itself.

What I am trying to figure out in my spare time is how this all relates to Photons.

Okay, so the Neutrino does NOT interact electromagnetically.
    Neutrino - Wikipedia (emphasis added)
Now, since we're talking about the multiverse (and this is only an idea), there's a very small chance that maybe one of the other universes spilling over into our's has natural laws such that Neutrinos DO have an electric charge and so DO interact with the electromagnetic force.

But, here in our universe they don't interact electromagnetically. Neither do Antineutrons.

Or do they? This was also a note in the Wikipedia article:

I see that you're operating under the assumption that Neutrinos are Majorana particles. Well, some of the pieces fit and others don't. I don't like that. Plus, it violates a conservation law...

The Standard Model predicts that the Neutrinos don't have mass, but the experimental evidence says that they do, so already the Standard Model is off the table.

Having a mass, it seems, changes everything. So, are Neutrino and Antineutrinos the same particle, or does the Neutrino get its mass from the Higgs? That's a good question. I don't know yet. Nobody knows.

Speaking of which, they are probably going to find the mass of the Electron Antineutrino this year! From the Wikipedia article for Neutrino, under the subsection "mass" it talks about the KATRIN experiment:

Due to their low mass and the fact that they're left-handed particles makes me think they don't get their mass from the Higgs field.
