You keep quoting the "Sermon on the Mout" as if that makes you a member of some kind of "club"..... but I would have you note one thing:

Jesus did not gather the rulers of Rome, or even the rulers of Israel and Judah and direct these rulers to impress these precepts upon their citizens. He could have done that. He didn't and they hated him for it. Jesus was followed by individuals of their own free will. They were drawn to Him. The Sermon on the Mount was for them to individually accept and obey. Not as an edict from an earthly ruler.

"After all this is a free country. I am not going to impose my religion to you." You say this with a great amount of Pious. Your "religion" IS government. You would impose your religion on every unborn child and every citizen of the "state".

 

We are "god", sort of. Not yours, of course, it doesn't exist, but the Source of everything is us, and we are it. The best analogy I have thought of to describe it is that we are like a cup of water taken out of the ocean, that goes on to have cup fulls of water experiences, and then we get poured back in. In this case, we individual life forms are the cups of water, and 'god' (Source or Spirit are better, more accurate terms) is the amalgamation of all the individual cups (aka, the ocean) total experiences through all of their different lives, which given our ability to create anything we like, like this planet, other planets, or this universe and other universes, is an unlimited, eternal sort of thing. We will never know everything, but maybe someday, though time is not really real as we understand it, we'll get to the point we know 'enough'? Just thinking out loud, now. Maybe not, who knows.

24% of abortion patients identified as Catholic;

38% reported no religious affiliation; and

8% reported some other affiliation.

In another word 54% women who had abortion comes from churches which teach abortion is murder. Yet their own congregation don’t listen to their teaching. Evangelicals should teach their congregation first so they practice what they preach before they teach/preach rest of the world.
