It is easy to forget the scrutiny that each POTUS gets while he is in office. They all are under a microscope. (including the current one)
Given the stress that alone would create, it is a wonder that anyone still tries for the office of POTUS. ;-)

The only reason it seems like Trump is more scrutenized is becasue he is an attention seeking loud mouth and is in the news all the time. He makes himself a target for scrutiny

Well I think if the right and MSM were as vindictive TOWARDS Biden as they are Trump, they'd be more than enough to ruin the guy..

Just like the left say Trump will use office to skate the law, Bidens with help of MSM is doing JUST THAT..

You are right. Many civil servants are honorable , honest and hard working peple......who truly love the country, and work to make it even better.

But then there is Donald. He has tarnished this nation's politics, legal system and other systems in just a short time. He continues to do so. The fraudster will continue to tarnish this nation regardless if he is in power or not as his toxicity is affecting the tone of the nation
He has managed to convince quite a number to think like he does and that is concerning. .

That's because they are at the state level.. Hard to cover up or get away with things like they do within the wall of Washington..

I think these days with all the tech, all our reps should live in the state they represent and work via internet conferencing.. They should be paid their states average wage like the folks they work for and represent..

    @Noone
""The case centers on allegations that Trump falsified his company’s records to conceal the nature of hush money reimbursements.""

What did Stormy's testimony have to do with comptroller McConney entered the "legal expense" to classify the payments?

Since the sexual abuser/business fraud's defense team usually fails to present the arguments that his worshipers continually concoct, I'll also offer them an alternative strategy.

They could argue that, for the old geezer who had been a notorious skank, paying off bimbos he schtupped behind the backs of trophy wives was his normal modus operandi, and not in any way occasioned by his candidacy following release of his "You can grab them by the p*ssy!" recording.

His fart catcher supreme, Rudy Giuliani has suggested that such payoffs were routine:

“The agreement with Michael Cohen, as far as I know, is a longstanding agreement that Michael Cohen takes care of situations like this then gets paid for them sometimes.” When asked whether Michael Cohen made payments to other women for Trump, Giuliani offered, “I have no knowledge of that, but I would think if it was necessary, yes.”

It was a graphic description of why the hush money was paid.

It was showing what happened and the motive it gave to Trump to cover it up.

Kudos to Judge Merchan, a class act in a typically trashy tabloid Trump affair.

    "Ms Clifford, please look carefully.
Are those your initials on 'Exhibit A'?"

Stormy's testimony has nothing to do with a records keeping case.. She offered nothing as to how Trump/Cohen kept records... it has nothing to do with any affair... it is about comptroller McConney entered the "legal expense" to classify the payments? NDA's are not illegal, catch and kill is not illegal....So her testimony had nothing to do with any crime...

So your post #3 you like to refer to.... "The case centers on allegations that Trump falsified his company’s records to conceal the nature of hush money reimbursements."
Stormy has nothing to do with the cases claim of, per your words, "Trump falsified his company’s records"... What would Stormy know about Trump's record keeping?

There are the legalities being contested, and there are the sordid realities that occasion them being exposed.

Clinton's being held in civil contempt did not eradicate the stain on a blue dress.

Yea... I see now why she testified.... Stormy owes Trump a lot of money so the simplest place to look is ......... follow the money.... So will Stormy be prosecuted to falsifying business records and fraud.... the very thing Trump was drug in to court over?

Here is my statement regarding the testimony of Stormy Daniels. Will DA Bragg pursue charges against her for falsification of business records, fraud, etc. (and it is recorded)

Stormy's testimony has nothing to do with a records keeping case.

Merchan should never had let Stormy testify.... after the defense told him it was a bad idea, and then Merchan needed to tell the jury to disregard all of her fast talking sleazy spanking crap , and he should have stopped her testimony right there...that is his job as a judge... Stromy's trashy testimony has nothing to do with the charges in the indictment...

Clinton was being investigated for perjury and the affair was directly part of the criminal investigation. Nobody is contesting that Stormy alleged an affair and extorted money from Trump. She provided no knowledge whatsoever on the evidence of the case. Her testimony was purely to prejudice the jury. Everybody knew it, including the judge. The defense objected, but the judge said she could testify about whatever she wanted as long as she didn’t go into the details about Trump’s genitals. Then after her testimony he admitted it was a mistake and her testimony shouldn’t have been given. So he ordered the jury to ignore it, LOL, and said she can come back tomorrow to give more testimony.

Like the jury can unhear what they heard. Just another reason that even if there is a conviction it will likely get tossed, like the Weinstein verdict.

Trump is probably wishing he had contrived to postpone this rather than his other three criminal trials.

Boxes of top secret documents hidden in his bathroom would be far less embarrassing.

    Screen Shot 2024-05-08 at 9.16.52 AM.png

... Daniels read a Truth Social post from March 2023 in which he wrote: “I did NOTHING wrong in the ‘horseface’ case …”

“You call him names all the time, right? … You despise him,” the defense lawyer said, noting a Daniels tweet that called Trump an “orange turd.”

“He made fun of me first,” Daniels replied.

That IS the strategy, even before yesterday the defense's only hope is a mistrial.

The legalities will play out in court and a jury of his peers assess the case, regardless of the superfluous details being exposed.
    Trump's Pecker's testimony was fun.
