Major smackdown by defendants in the TX suit. Ooooh boy, it's tough :)

My bet is that SCOTUS will concur with the 'laches' and 'standing' issues raised,
and give Trump , et al., the boot.

How can educated petitioners be so stupid as to posit an absurd statistical analysis that President Elect Biden has a 'one in quadrillion chances of winning" ? Is that insane or what? In a legal document they make a bar-room caliber quip as this?

https://www.supremecourt.gov/DocketPDF/22/22O155/163367/20201210142206254_Pennsylvania Opp to Bill of Complaint v.FINAL.pdf

...The cascading series of compounding defects in Texas’s filings is only underscored by the surreal alternate reality that those filings attempt to construct. That alternate reality includes an absurd statistical analysis positing that the probability of President Elect Biden winning the election was “one in a quadrillion"..

...Texas’s effort to get this Court to pick the next President has no basis in law or fact. The Court should not abide this seditious abuse of the judicial process, and should send a clear and unmistakable signal that such abuse must never be replicated.
    [...]
Texas brings to the Court only discredited allegations and conspiracy theories that have no basis in fact. And Texas asks this Court to contort its original jurisdiction jurisprudence in an election where millions of people cast ballots under truly extraordinary circumstances, sometimes risking their very health and safety to do so. Accepting Texas’s view would do violence to the Constitution and the Framers’ vision, and would plunge this Court into “one of the most intensely partisan aspects of American political life.”

Obviously, there is ZERO Chance that The Court would take Trump's Side.

That "filing" was a Complete Joke.

Just like all of the others.

    Trump LOST/Biden WON. Period.

Which is less than 1 in a quadrillion.

Perhaps it's time you folks on the left realize that and quit whining about Trump then.

Its not the stastical probability of Biden 'winning an election'. Its the statistical probability that Biden got precisely the amount of votes he needed in precisely the right strategic areas at precisely '0 hour' and almost nowhere else.

Kinda like how Trump got just the barely the right amount of votes in the right states.

Only difference is Biden won by 7 million, and Trump lost the popular vote by 3 million.

Yeh, it had totally nothing to do with state laws and requirements that mail in ballots not be counted when they were received and that Biden largely carried those votes because the other side was screaming not to do it.

    Unfathomable actually...

Yes. I skimmed through Georgia's response. I don't think they even touched the statistic nonsense as it was so ridiculous. I hope the AG Paxton gets disbarred over this... something that a pardon couldn't stop.

Insane indeed along with the rest of politics like closing police departments, packing the court and allowing rioters to destroy cities.

They seem to think the Texas lawsuit is about election fraud. It's not, it's about 4 states violating their own election laws, thereby making the outcome illegal. The SOS and the election folks should have followed the law. Too bad they didn't, the good folks of those 4 states need to vote out all Democrats in the next election for screwing up their votes.

And yet the state of Texas did something similar, if not worse in this election.

Even if these accusations were true (which they aren't) it's unconstitutional for a state to sue another state over the management of the electoral process.

But you don't have to believe me.

I anticipate that the Supreme Court will dismiss this case in two short lines, just as it did in the Pennsylvania case.

Something that the people in those states would have standing to sue over, not Texas. States get to sue each other over things like water rights, not how each applies their own election laws.

Who wrote these garbage responses for these states? Sounds like CNN talking points.

This is a pathetic response to a lawsuit that isn't mentioning "picking the president". I would suggest these states actually read the complaint so they can respond, if they can, appropriately.

I especially like this part of PA's response:
This is a lie that the pro Trump posters have been shamelessly repeating without any proof. It is especially shameful that the Texas AG would make this claim to Alito and the rest of the SCOTUS who have first hand knowledge of this from the case that got declined on Monday.

I hope they eviscerate it in a multi page response that tells them to get over it and recommends disbarment for the indicted AG from Texas.

I hope they ignore it until after the inauguration. Just to keep Trumpers on the edge of their seats. It won't matter, though. Nothing will convince some people that Trump is a loser. If 7,000,000 votes, 306 EC and 50 court decisions don't convince them, nothing will.

Just think of it. They somehow believe the SCOTUS has done a complete 180 in a matter of days. Simply amazing.

Neither did the other states, and it doesn't matter. Texas has no standing. Picking a loser isn't evidence of damages.

Recounts have been conducted in Michigan, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Arizona and Wisconsin.

How do you reconcile the results of these recounts with your statistics?

And since when is 150,000 "precisely" the amount needed to win? These conspiracies are becoming old and stale. Any comedic effect has worn off.
