I'd like to know your definitions of a "more perfect union" and "A better and safer society" first thanks. I do agree with the general "rethink education" premise thing you have going there though. I'd like to hear your thoughts...

As for the schools... if you'd just eliminate the "tenure problem" you'd eliminate much of the problem.

You see, tenure cultivates snobbish elitist territorialism by it's very nature. Get rid of the "slipped under the cracks" radicals and the "I just want a pension and a steady check" folks and you've gone a long way towards solving the education problem.

Teach people basic home economics, how to do their taxes, and how to perform simple functional tasks and you'll go a long way towards helping the black community as you so claim is your want to do...

A more perfect union is an eraser with a sole function, removing the Mason Dixon line.
A better and safer society is an educated one. This is why Asians don't commit much crime here. They are busy studying and blowing the Bell curve.

Nothing is free.

I would fire most of the teachers. They are largely unnecessary in the volumes they are in. What they need in the classroom is electricity and an authority figure.

As it is there's too much electricity and authority in the urban classroom. It's just all on the opposite end of the board it seems.

What's really needed are civil participants in a civil union in the classroom. You know, like days of old? A civil union is only as perfunctory as it's constituents...

You don't follow logic very well. There is no such thing as race. There is no genetic predisposition to any behavior. How you turn this into the racist ideal is just magic.

You keep going back to your subdermal argument about a prison your friend is in. The POINT of making the claim you did was to discredit another user who stated that asians commit less crime and blacks commit more. Your reply was about eastern Can prisons to demonstrate that this was false.

I gave you the statistics, which are a recurring theme throughout the western world, from your government supporting the original posters assertion you weakly attempted to discredit with anecdotal evidence.

You can continue to call me racist for recognizing the cultural differences between us, landing on Asian tiger mom as the reason for their success, and blacks absentee fatherism as the reason for their failure. I don't care. Your personal opinion of me matters squat. You are a stranger in a box. What I am discussing, are facts, and issues. Nothing is twisted. It is not an anomoly. It is consistent across countries and continents. It IS cultural.

The only other answer is genetic, which would make you a racist. There are people of all races that are smarter than me, better fathers and husbands than I, better educated... it is not "race" limiting or propelling these groups. It is culture. Why this notion offends you is beyond me.

Oprah and others use the race card because for years, white guilt has let it work. Now, its wearing a little thin.

 

Simply replacing welfare checks with in home fathers would solve the problem.
