Anyone know how difficult it would be to get put on AGR orders if you're already on ADOS in the Guard? AGR is a career and great way to stay involved instead of just being a weekend warrior again...
I don't think it makes a difference to the AGR whether you are on any sort of Active Duty orders or not. Just put in a packet and see if you want to do it, however you may not get the job/location you want if selected.
AGR positions are for specific MOS's, duties, and grades, so if there is a specific position open in your unit for your MOS and grade, then I suppose so. But generally you have to go where the position is that you qualify for.
I was told I'd get put on AGR a few months ago working under the same division. Haven't heard anything since. Honestly, I don't know much about ADOS transitions so I'm curious what the holdup is. Our division leader is an O6 and when I asked him, he told me to stop wasting his time
