With the Oscars approaching (well, not at all, it's in February), that is the first question for anyone who likes movies. For best movie, there are 8 nominated: "American Sniper" (Clint Eastwood) "Boyhood" (Richard Linklater) "Birdman" (Alejandro González Iñárritu) "The Grand Budapest Hotel" (Wes Anderson) "The Imitation Game" (Morten Tyldum) "Selma" (Ava DuVernay) "The Theory of Everything" (James Marsh) "Whiplash" (Damien Chazelle) Favorite: Boyhood (for the hype of "12 years", not for the movie). Should win: Whiplash. Should be: Gone Girl. What do you think?
The Oscars are over with but if I would have been an AMPAS member, my vote for Best Picture would have gone to "The Grand Budapest Hotel."
