Good news - Hopefully, this will be the last we see of Potemkin President Biden's unconstitutional vax mandate. I can't believe - wait a minute, I can - that he tried to ram this politically-motivated dictate down the country's throat:

Good riddance to bad rubbish -

    BUH-BYE!!

This is very good news. Shame on those supporting this abuse of power. They are not only anti-freedom, they are anti-science.

lol... so basically the instant a court was like 'we need to look at this more closely' (which is what a pause means) they're like 'NOPE! NEVERMIND!'

Its nice to know we're not fully conquered by executive rule yet.

It was inevitable. This is why OSHA almost never issues the emergency order to begin with. Now that said, they can go through the normal rules making process and still end up with the same requirements in 6 months or a year from now if they so desire. Whether they are brave enough to do that during an election year.....

Suspend means just that. While the chances are pretty good that it would be permanent, there is no absolute at the moment. I believe this has ended up in the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals, which leans heavily to the right.

OSHA has no business being involved, and Biden's attempt at an end run around legal process on something that could have devastating effects on the public, economy, business and the overall welfare of this country is not to be taken lightly.

They might be dumb and/or desperate enough to do it....only to have the courts slap down their unconstitutional overreach again.

If this ends up being barred completely, I’d like to see people who were forced to get the vaccine (or be fired), sue the Biden administration into oblivion.

I recently did a job for a federal agency that required we sign a vaccine attestation form and provide proof of recent testing if unvaccinated. I got the test (negative of course) but I still have the form because no one asked for it, or even asked about vaccine or testing status.

I know OP doesnt have anything to do with the mandate for federal agencies and contractors, but anecdotally, it doesnt seem like its being enforced very strongly, as if fedgov knows it doesnt have the teeth here that everyone says.

Maybe or maybe they will try passing a trillion dollar corporate subsidy for employers that force workers to be vaccinated. Just because OSHA doesn't require it, doesn't mean that employers cannot require it. As obsessive as the dems are with everything, nothing would surprise me with them.

It was the 5th Circuit down in New Orleans, CD, and I think the court did Biden & Co. a favor. I don't see this unconstitutional trash passing muster in the SCOTUS.

But that doesn't pertain to Federal Employees, Military troops, or Federal Contractors.

They are all still required under the order because OSHA doesn't have to enforce that.

Correct. I may have to step down and resign in January if nothing changes. Along with me will go our #1 programmer, data specialist. The guy is a genius and has been with our company for over a decade. He is single highhandedly responsible for some of the best data analytics, metrics, and reports the U.S. Department of Energy has ever received saving hundreds of millions of dollars for the nation and giving the decision makers far far far better information. While I can be replaced, he cannot be replaced. We both had CV-19 and got pretty sick, his was more recent (1.5 months ago), mine was in January of this year. His doctor has advised him not to take the vaccine as it's too soon after an infection and that he has natural immunity through the roof now and has no need for it for at least 8-11 months and likely much longer with B and T Cell immunity.

To add to the Leftist Authoritarian stupidity. He works from home 100%... well except when he comes into our office where everyone is vaccinated (1 day a month for an "all hands" meeting), but me. He is of no threat to anyone.

Employers can still force it and can still fire you for declining.

lol... I've considered a move to Texas (The Woodlands or near my friend in Ft. Worth), but that would not solve my Federal Business problems.

If I do have to step down, I will likely make my HB home a rental for about $5K a month. I will then buy another home in the Florida Pan Handle. I am thinking Destin or Ft. Walton. From there I will either go back into publishing my Science Fiction Trilogy, the first book is published, but I have held off on books #2 and #3 as I want to re-edit them and have nearly finished with book #2's edits. I will do that as I take a break and consider if I just want to retire or work more. I'm young to retire, but I've been grinding hard for the last 14 years. My company owes me about half a million and I own about a half million of the company as well. Cashing out would be a good move if I have to resign. I may leave my investment in the company and just take what is owed. The company is pretty awesome and will do well.

Again.. my departure won't hurt too much, except that I have all the relationships and I would be happy to hand them all off to whoever comes in behind me. My solution architecture skills are good, but so are a lot of people. But, losing our top guy on the DOE projects will hurt the DOE and the nation. Minds like his are very rare and the success he has had is quite amazing. When you talk analytics, data integration, data visualization he's 1 in a million. I get different projects asking for him all the time and he works like a horse, but he will not be taking the jab. He's already pulled his twins (3rd grade) out of the LAUSD due to last years fiasco. When the Public Schools lose parents and children like that family it only hurts the school system. Those kids are smart as hell like their Dad and Mom.

That's right - I forgot you were thinking about moving to the Sunshine State. This all may wind up being a "happy accident" of sorts.

However, the story about you and your buddy speaks to the stupidity of Biden's mandates, and all so he can play Covid Jesus to the Branch Covidians in his base.

Yeah... the Democrats / Leftists supporting firing people that work 100% at home, because they are not vaccinated is for pure Authoritarians. It doesn't follow Science. It doesn't follow common sense... but they are Leftists so logic matters not, just power and control over others' lives.

This thread is a perfect example of rightists constantly clinging to their victim mentality.

Hell, a rightist posted that employees who were let go by their employer for not abiding by their companies rules should sue the Biden admin. LOL, comical!

    Comical and beyond

Meanwhile the rest of the world is moving closer to vaccine passports

And I read these responses and think “with Europe seeing its fifth wave, among the unvaccinated, how many here are putting themselves at risk? I’m fine - I got my shots so now my risks of dying or being permanently disabled are so much less it is now about the same as me being accidentally shot while living in Australia
