This is my political opinion and belief: The Trudope government has literally suspended any rights Canadians thought they had. The level of brutality they exhibited toward a truly peaceful assembly was inconscionable.

This is what Tyranny looks like .. the broad brush of the collective .. no regard for the individual - rights - freedoms .. that crazy stuff - its for the greater good that our beloved dictators do these things.

 

My family in Canada includes my wife's daughter, married to a Canadian. They have three sons, many grandchildren. They have done well, but now they are so concerned with the political situation that all those who are half-American or qualified are applying for dual citizenship, which would allow them entry to the USA at anytime. They have also began a process not unlike what "preppers" do, buying ahead on necessities, keeping a financial reserve stash, things like that. Canadians aren't used to crap like this, where the government actually starts attacking civil rights, and they are deeply concerned. Trust in their system- gone. They are playing it day-by-day, but trying to be ready for the worst.

This kind of thing comes from too much tolerance of government abusing the rules that limit their conduct. There are times and places where tolerance is appropriate- this is not one of them. The sooner the people call it out, the less chance it will get out of hand.

 

Problem is- government usually assume such principles don't apply to them; just to you....

 

This is exactly what tyranny looks like. The globalists are genuflecting with excitement. Then... Let's not forget GoFundMe shutting down the donations to support an actual peaceful protest. Then the very next week allowed its platform to be used to bail out a racist anti-semite multi-felon who attempted to murder a Jewish political candidate at point blank range.

 

My family is Quebecois and I have a French surname. Though born in the U.S., my grand-père spoke mostly French and maintained his French-Canadian culture and heritage, staying in contact with the family in Quebec who were very successful builders, miners, fishers, and trappers, landing on the banks of the St. Lawrence sometime in the early 1800s. They are still there. They have a long legacy and deep roots. They also have assets. Last week they contacted my dad (their cousin) to ask him if he knew how to start the process to emigrate to the U.S.. I cannot overstate the significance of that phone call. THEY LOVE THAT LAND. CanExit may be underway as we speak. If I had anything of value in Canada, I'd liquidate and offshore ASAMFP.

 

100%. Frankly, the Canadians do not enjoy my sympathy. They voted for this -- certainly not all of them, likely not your relatives and definitely not mine. But in the end, at least in a country that democratically-elects its leadership, we get the government we deserve. Now as the lefty woke progressive globalists who think Trudope is the best thing since vegan poutine are about to learn: The pendulum swings both ways. And usually the backlash is as austere if not moreso than the transgressions that led to it.

Those who will trade their liberty for a temporary feeling of safety deserve neither.

Well- Nobody votes for this. We don't intentionally vote for corruption, abuse, any of the characteristic we are seeing today in so many politicians.
Politicians work hard to create an image that will attract voters, but that image is never a reflection of their true identity or character.
We vote for the political positions candidates say they support, the job they say they will do.

When you hire someone to do a job, there are two primary factors in the result. One- have they done the job, achieved the result promised?
If not, you chose a person poorly- perhaps failed to do your homework. In politics, that means they do not get hired again, they lose the next election.

But- what if the person you hire abandons the fundamental obligations of his position, and used it to steal from you, violate your trust? This is betrayal, a totally different issue.
That's when you fire the person. Skilled or not, we neither hire that nor vote for it, and such people must be removed from their position- not in the next election, but immediately. Most governments make that very difficult for the public to do- and the government itself avoids that responsibility like the plague. That is what needs to change The people themselves need a voice here with authority, just like say a referee in a sports game- with the power to eject such people as unfit for office. Nothing to do with their political position- but with their violation of public trust.
The people need that power, now.

Sound familiar? The laughable part of this story is what she is charged with: 'Counseling to commit mischief.' Yet they're treating her like a serial killer.

If Canadians ever thought they had any measure of liberty at all, this should pretty much end all doubt. They don't.

Kudos to the Canadian Press, however, for correctly characterizing the demonstrations in the headline as 'anti-vaccine mandate.' CNN and the NYT should take some notes.

 

So much depends on manipulating minds, and devious leaders understand that. If they couldn't do that, they would quickly be out of business. Part of this is done by emphasizing some points, and ignoring others.

The duty of government is to protect the people and nation- from those who would abuse it- The predators.
When government becomes the predator- the people will object, will resist, and the government behaves like a cornered animal, and will do most anything to survive.
This is Trudope's position; he has violated the duty of his post, become a predator on the people- all for his ego. Now, he's seeking revenge against those who opposed his dictate.... seeking a kind of stranglehold over the people- like the many totalitarian despots of history. In Canada- that is not all there is to it.

Canada's political structure is not like ours. There is a position called a "Governor general", which you rarely if ever hear from- however, the person holding that office has the power to dismiss Trudeau, and dissolve his government. This position is a direct representative of the head of state, which is Queen Elizabeth. That position is presently held by Mary Simon, installed in office in July 2021. Currently, her office is overwhelmed with demands that she dismiss Trudeau, and dissolve his government.

Trudeau- is by no means invulnerable, nor does he have any means to avoid or challenge the dismissal if the governor general orders it.

That would be a point to watch...
