George Soros, the creator of the leftwing, the man who brought you the Arab Spring and the death of South Africa is coming to Australia! Hooray

There have been questions raised about foreign funding for Getup Australia, days before legislation kicks in on "foreign funding" a bit hypocritical considering the "foreign funding" NRA One Nation business... therefore although not illegal I would certainly call it unethical.

What I find interesting is that liberal policies have stirred the right wing, and a likely scenario is that this huge push of funding will result in the election of a liberal government, bringing into fruition more liberal legislation on likely migration and refugees, two hot topics for the right.

The end result of "crushing the extreme right" will likely be a more divisive Australia... not unlike that which Soros has created in America and Europe. Because the extreme right is a backlash against change, or too much change too fast. In pushing change even harder and faster, I believe it will only serve to increase the divide in Australia.

    sw,
in the US you have half of the people standing behind Trump, and the other half hating his guts.
Looks like it's the same everywhere.
To me it is quite simple, vote for Libs and stay in the past, vote for LABOR AND THERE MIGHT BE A GLIMMER OF HOPE...
Not saying it will happen, but hope there is.
I will vote fore the Greens, as uncompleted that party still appears....
I want a fairer world, a place where the future happens now, not never....
    Cats
By the way, great that GetUp and others exist, no other way to put some pressure on existing issues...

You have to love how SW continues to paint the far right in Australia as hapless victims who are only responding to the evil behaviour of others. If only all those evil Africans & Muslims & Africans & Jews & Africans & left wingers weren't so evil there just wouldn't be a far right at all. Poor, poor far right wingers. Just a big old bunch of victims really. No control over their own behaviour, just forced into it by others. Makes you cry, doesn't it.

Yes it sounds wonderful, doesn't it. But do they actually make the world a better place? Because the evidence is saying no.

In 1979 George Soros decided to open closed societies and spent billions of dollars on Human Rights, liberal and pro democracy movements.

When we look at the results today, many of the new democracies are corrupt, some like South Africa and Ukraine are so corrupt they can barely function, dare we even mention Libya... in fact if we wanted to be mean we could say that by the time Soros is finished, he could well have killed more people than Hitler. Can you even begin to imagine the irony of someone trying to do so much good ending up sowing so much death and destruction.

Organisations like Getup is born from the Soros movement and if you look in the footer on their website bottom left you'll notice the "human rights" and "pro democracy" agenda in addition to wiping out the extreme right.

The other argument I make is, not only do they not make the world a better place, in countries that were already "democratic" and fairly liberal, they are causing a rift, a divide which makes the world more dangerous due to extremism on both sides of the spectrum. In fact I believe pushing liberal policies, may increase liberalism on the short term, however on the long term causes a backlash and an increase to the right.

Therefore the question is "Do you think that organisations like GetUp could in fact be the cause of the growing right wing and rightwing extremist movement.

    sw,
we need GetUp and similar platforms more than ever, to have a tool against the extreme right.
And tell me, what are you so frickin afraid of?
Aren't you happy we live in a multicultural society? I see that deteriorating, under the *right side of the fence*....

    Wow.

This is the first that I had heard of this.

Sounds like a very interesting dilemma.

:roflol: did it not for a moment occur to you that I am considering the cause and effect of these movements.

Billions have been poured into Soros style organisations such as Getup in Europe and other countries, in those who were not democracies and became new democracies we've seen democracy falter badly....in some cases many people have died, are still dying will continue to die and millions suffer.

And in Europe instead of a pull to the left.... after pouring billions into movements such as Getup, you see a move to the right with a deepening chasm between political parties similar to the US.

I guess we'll find out in about five years :)

I support the human right of all individuals to freely associate and speak their political views, hard right and hard left included.
