The Congress Critters routinely exempt themselves from laws that they saddle the people with. So once again the country hick from Kentucky is spitting in the wind. Does he really expect the Congress Critters to give up their bennies? He's nuts as well as stupid.

I have no reply for your hateful and divisive rhetoric. You should be banned in the name of political diversity...

As H.L. Mencken said in 1922, "...in the United States, alone among the great nations of history, there is a right way to think and a wrong way to think in everything...in the most trivial matters of everyday life."

No, they should expel the fools who believe Congress has a "bennie" to begin with. The Founders drafted a Constitutional Republic. Not a monarchy, or an anarchy or a plutocracy. No, this nation finally forged in 1787 after the Revolutionary Wars was a Constitutional Republic.

To Washington, we the Citizens were the Kings whom lorded over our Government, so as to ensure the fairness in the system. In truth, the Fairness Doctrine was established by our first commander in chief, to which we've since thrown it away.

And that has allowed for our gradual and accelerating decline.

If the amendment holds Congress to the same standard as the People on everything, and not just Obamacare, then I am all for it. Most of the Republicans and Democrats won't go for it, though.

The idea that Congressional workers need to lose their employer paid insurance befits that were promised them when they hired on shows the complete cluelessness of the right as to what Obamacare actually IS!

The employer paid insurance the Congress workers SHOULD have CONTINUED to have is Obamacare too, just the same as the workplace insurance millions will be receiving under the ACA next year. FORCING them off their employer health insurance to have to buy individual polices on the Exchanges is simply Right WIng political absurdity. Giving them the money the government WAS spending on their discontinued health insurance, which is what was promised hwne they were hired, is only fair.

If you want to give these workers a pay cut by taking away their insurance benefits, fine, just be honest about it.

And not create UTTERLY STUPID situations with absurd and ridiculous laws that are simply whackjob concepts in principle and the typical Tea Party idiocy in execution.

Thats the biggest problem right there. Because we feel nothing can be done, we opt to do nothing. We could absolutely hold these dolts accountable. I mean seriously imagine if 1% of this population were to make a stand. These professional politicians would be shaking in their gator skinned Allen Edmond's. However, we feel compelled to resign ourselves to (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)ing and moaning on the internet rather than actually doing something!

No, their not exempt but they will be able to continue to receive their golden parachute insurance plan through the remainder of their life. They should be on the same plans every American they represent are on. They are not lords nor are they superior. They are representatives of the common man and they should be accountable to the same laws as we are (They can inside trade by the way) and enjoy the same benefits as common folks. They come in making moderate incomes and they leave multi millionaires with gifts from tehir own coffers for a life time! It's ridiculous we allow these people to continue to steal from their constituents like these do today!

I think the Tea Party congresscritters would vote 100% in favor of this idea.

But I suspect Hussein Obama would veto it to save Democrat congresscritters from being subject to the same law as the hoi polloi.
