"Seventy-two percent of U.S. consumers intentionally took steps to save money because of inflation in May, the food and beverage industry is being impacted significantly by consumers’ cost-savings techniques."

"Over half (53%) of U.S. adults said that they have changed their eating and drinking habits as a result of inflation last month. More than 8 in 10 survey respondents said that they are eating out less often, and roughly three-quarters are going to bars less often. Consumers are also purchasing less meat—72% of consumers say they are doing so, and the number rises to 81% among baby boomers. Sixty-eight percent of respondents reported that they are consuming less alcohol."

"Demographics that earn less than $50,000 and who have children under 18 years old in the household are more likely to cut back on spending, with those in the Midwest the most likely to have made adjustments, and those in the Northeast being the least likely. Women are 13 percentage points more likely to have said they’ve adjusted their spending habits, which could reflect that women are more likely than men to identify as the household’s primary grocery shopper."

"Good because it’s forcing people to be healthier, right? Not so much:"

"Health and wellness habits are decreasing with the increase in inflation—57% of respondents are buying less produce, while 52% have stopped buying organic produce. Twenty-two percent of respondents have stopped a specific diet, and that number jumps to 28% when looking at the millennial demographic."

Just 138 days until voters can fire these clowns and elect representatives that actually represent us!

Let's take our government back and task them on OUR needs not their crazed fantasies.

 

Why would I go out?

First of all, drinks are at least 4 times more expensive than at a bottle store. Gen Z waiters are rude and entitled. You have to walk 4 city blocks to find somewhere to smoke.

Much better off getting some mates over for the game, homebrewing them some beers in advance for practically nothing, and we can smoke inside to our hearts' content. Chuck a pork belly on the BBQ, it's not hard or expensive.

Until recently it was illegal for me to go out anyway. Made me realize there's no point anyway. Everything is run by the nanny state.

 

Best economic recovery in the world, the world, the world.

Biden’s war on gas and seemingly intentional inflation hurts the very people democrats claim to champion. If an R was in office the left would be throwing around the R word like no one’s business.

 

But don't you forget that none of this is the president's fault.

From 2016 to 2020 if a liberal stub their toe it was the president's fault but now suddenly the president is powerless to do any damn thing.

About the only thing I can see that this administration does fairly well is try to make excuses for how they're not responsible for anything

 

I have yet to cut back on my addiction to Dr. Pepper and T-Bone steaks.
