Nothing, not even a SCOTUS ruling, has stopped Planned Parenthood from getting federal tax dollars to run their abortion factories. The thing that bugs me is knowing that PP will use tax dollars to fight one:

Judge allows ban on funds to Planned Parenthood
    Updated at 01:06 PM today
    Associated Press

AUSTIN, TX -- A Texas judge has ruled that the state may cut off funding to Planned Parenthood's family planning programs for poor women.

Attorney general spokeswoman Lauren Bean said Judge Gary Harger has ruled that Texas may exclude otherwise qualified doctors and clinics from receiving state funding just because they advocate for abortion rights. The state has long banned the use of state funds for abortion.

At issue Monday was whether Planned Parenthood and other abortion-rights groups could continue to provide preventive health care to poor women as part of the Women's Health Program. The program provides check-ups and birth control to 110,000 poor women and 48,000 of them go to Planned Parenthood clinics.

Planned Parenthood asked for a restraining order against enforcing the ban on them, arguing it violates state law.

Funny, right here on the Forum PP advocates have claimed that government funding of the organization is not a significant portion of their overall operating income. Now we see PP crying like soon-to-be aborted babies.

Maybe those among us who repeatedly deny that Planned Parenthood uses tax dollars to perform abortions can explain this:

Planned Parenthood reports record year for abortions
    January 7, 2013 | 3:59 pm

In its latest annual report for fiscal year 2011 to 2012, Planned Parenthood reveals that it performed 333,964 abortions in 2011 – a record year for the organization.

According to annual reports, the organization performed 332,278 abortions in 2009, 329,445 in 2010, making the total number of abortions in three years to 995,687.

Planned Parenthood reported receiving a record $542 million in taxpayer funding, according to a Susan B. Anthony List analysis of the report, in the form of government grants, contracts, and Medicaid reimbursements. The amount is 45 percent of Planned Parenthood’s annual revenue.

“While government subsidies to Planned Parenthood have reached an all time high, so too has the number of lives ended by this profit-driven abortion business,” SBA List’s President Marjorie Dannenfelser said in a statement. “Destroying nearly one million children in three years is not health care and does not reflect a concern for vulnerable women and girls.”

Contraceptive services at Planned Parenthood have dropped by 12 percent since 2009, and cancer screening & prevention services have dropped by 29 percent.

Maybe you could explain why you see some connection between the increase in funding and and an increase in abortions? There is nothing to indicate that the additional funding is used for abortions.
