If Paul fails to win the GOP nomination and decides against running third party, who would you vote for if it was between Barack Obama and the GOP candidate?

Forget about Gary Johnson or any other candidate. Forget about not voting for all.

Just answer the question: Would you vote for Obama or the GOP candidate? And please give a reason.

    Obama or the GOP candidate?

The poll is flawed. You didn't include the obvious third option which makes this thread meaningless.

Can't vote until I know who the GOP candidate is, for your information:

    Paul
    --- Lots of space ---
    Romney
    Maybe Perry/Newt (doubt it)
    --- Even more space ---
    Obama
Santorum/Newt/Perry (depending on how the latter two shift their positions over the course of the primaries)

That's not an option in this hypothetical question.

If it's between Obama and GOP candidate who would you vote? Think for a minute... W.W.R.D... What Would Ron Do? Who would he vote for...

Your hypothetical question has no basis in reality since writing on Ron Paul's name or voting for a libertarian ticket is going to be an option.
Just fix the poll and it'll have some meaning.

Who do you think you are? Frank Luntz?

    I meant to do that.

Answer the question: Obama or GOP candidate? Using the ideas and principles you have, which candidate would be preserve those rights for you?

I'm voting for Ron Paul with probably over ten million others whether he is running for President or not. Obama and Romney are both embarrassments to the Presidency, I won't vote for either of them.

George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson..... Romney? No thanks.

A write-in is a vote. Why would I waste my vote for someone who I dont want to give my vote to?
If your looking for a clear answer it would be neither.

So you are in favor of Ron Paul running third party?

If he does, you can thank the establishment paid-for republicans and enjoy Obama for the next 4 years.

If Obama gets 4 more years I give us 2 more years.

    Would you agree or disagree?

Obama would be a catalyst for the Paul revolution. Freedom would have to return!

I thought we already established that the GOP fear mongering wasn't going to work on us anymore? You've cried wolf too many times. Obama is no more dangerous to us domestically than Romney and the Republican establishment is who, I might add, gave us both the Patriot Act and the NDAA last month.

2 more years of what? More war? More occupying and overthrowing other countries governments because it doesnt coincide with our own values and moral beliefs? At the expense of our own American lives? Anyone other than Paul will declare war on Iran and perhaps the entire Islam Nation. Not something I can support.

If this were the real ballot, I would not be voting... Just like how I'm not going to vote in this thread.

I don't support the Republican Party.

I don't support the Democratic Party.

I don't vote blindly and I don't hold an allegiance to any party.

Well, you'd have to put a gun to someone's head (not mine, I'll die for principle) and threaten to blow it off if I don't vote for one of the two. In that case, I'd vote Romney, then Obama, and never Newt or Santorum.

Not restricted in liberty, I'd not vote at all.

It depends on the GOP candidate. If you're saying Paul isn't included in this, then I can go either way on this.

Bachmann and Santorum are worse than Obama.

Gingrich and Perry are also worse.

About the only candidates I could see voting for among the GOP (outside of Paul) over Obama would be Romney and Huntsman.

I would definitely vote for Huntsman over Obama. Romney is a tough one to decide on, but at this point... I guess I'd pick him over Obama.

It would depend on the GOP candidate. If it's one of those Obama-lite losers, I'd vote for Obama first. As long as they're gonna do the same crap, I'd rather have the Democrats take the blame.

I will vote for Ron Paul as I dislike all of the other contenders.

If he was removed then I would be forced to vote for a gop unless my only option was Santorum, at which point I would vote for Obama.

What lame poll options...there is a zero percent chance of me voting for either of them.

I support neither option in the poll.
