Hard to argue against a premise I don't accept as true.

How do you know they are racists at all? It seems to rely on you deciding the motives for other people and little else. Is a white person allowed to disagree with a non white person, or is that automatic racism?
And while we are on the topic, I am sorry, but yes racism IS something you DO, and racist is something you ARE. Learn to English.

My favorite line is the bit about "torturing non-white aliens". They are coming in human waves by the thousands to get INTO concentration camp and be tortured. Is that how you think it works? Like the Jews all ran to Auschwitz as fast as they could to get into concentration camp? If it were really the case that illegal immigrants were being rounded up and tormented, it would seem highly irresponsible, even malicious, to encourage them to keep coming don't you think? Do you want their kids to be made into soap and lampshades or something?

Raciism is a judgement we make about others based on their actions. And speech is action.

What nonsense! She's not anti-Semite, but even if she were, they couldn't care less. They are racists to the core, and yesterdays chants confirmed this.

You can keep denying reality to yourself. But that won't change this fact, which is confirmed again and again just about every day now.

The Huffington Post is not a white supremacist website. And there is no reason to be suspect of them. They can make mistakes, like any media website. Or you can disagree with their opinions. But unless you can bring some sort of falsehood that was published maliciously, you're talking crap. And you don't.

You have been challenged. Let's see you meet it.

Racism and prejudice are very similar. That's why people confuse them. The difference is that racism implies an institutionalized privilege obtained because of our particular history.

If a white and a black baby are born in the same hospital, when they leave, the white child has a much higher probability of having parents who earn better income, that live in a better neighborhood, who will be better fed, will go to better schools, hence will have a better chance of going to a university and getting a better job and having a child who will live in a better neighborhood.... and on and on... They have less chance to be stopped by a cop, and less chance that a cop will be confused if they reach into the glove compartment for their car registration, and not for a gun. So will have less of a chance to be shot and killed. There will also be less chance that they will be falsely arrested. They will even have less of a chance of being rightly arrested because, being privileged with better job opportunities, they will be more unlikely to commit crimes.

White people are prejudist because they confuse their privilege with superiority. They think they are "better" because they live in a better neighborhood, or because they make more money or because they went to better schools. But, as shown above, that is not so. They enjoy those because of their institutionalized historic privilege.

The important difference is that no one really cares about race in the Western World. We do, however, care very much about cultural compatibility. Heck, the Chinese have been in the West for hundreds of years, retaining their own strong cultural identity always ... but it's a compatible culture. It does not 'clash' with European culture.

Sorry, no. No one gives a flying F about her suntan. It's the contents of her mind/heart that matters.

Actually, no. actions and words are CULTURE, not race. You can be as black as midnight, eat wildly exotic food, wear kaftans, and dance better than anyone .. and be culturally compatible. The West has loads of Nigerians (for egs) who do just that. They're surgeons, lawyers, business people, etc. No one has a problem with them. South Indians - also very dark skinned and eaters of exotic foods - same again. They are compatible. Because actions/words.

There are no "races". But there are clines.

You use beliefs as the basis for your arguments. I'll use Science.

Sometimes it's not easy. they hide it well. But sometimes it's extremely clear.

There are those who have said that some racists don't know that they are racists. Maybe some, but I think the majority do know and just don't understand how they "slipped up".

Most on this forum are very easy to identify. They think they're hiding it. Not even close!

And of course, Trump. I mean... he has to know he's not hiding his racism from anybody. Either that or he's even dumber than we give him credit for.

As I said: sometimes it's difficult to tell. And can't jump to conclusions because we can be mistaken. But sometimes it's very very easy.

That may be grammatically true. But then you purposefully miss the point.

    Me?

That's an interesting comparison. You have described them exactly as many Trump cultists on this forum see them. That's like Trump sees them. So he feels he needs to torture them so they don't come any more.

Of course, the fact is that most of them are coming to save their life and their family. But that's what many on the right believe.

You are obviously too far gone into the right wingnut media narrative. So you probably are unaware that the only one who has done anything to encourage them to keep coming is Trump.

Probably not on purpose. Just through his sheer stupidity. And ignorance about the real situation of these people.

So you believe in "races" and in "elfs"... what else?

Races are categories of people based on features. Yes they exist.

The dictionary I have defines them as supernatural or fantasy creatures. It doesn't define race that way.

If the Democrats fail, and they would as things stand now, I am a bit confused as to how failure will lead to success in the November elections. Failure will backfire on the Democrats just as it backfired on Republicans in 1998.

What is the purpose of impeachment? Impeachment is not its own goal. Impeachment's purpose is the removal of the President. Failure will not remove Trump. But the way Trump is going, Trump will remove Trump. When a political opponent is self-destructing, don't interfere.

Anyway, that is the thinking of the Democratic leadership, and I agree.

The argument he's making is absurd. Reese's exist because we define them to exist just like mathematics.

Speaking of self-destruction, a poster recently asked, what exactly is a racist? A white, college educated businessman from a northern state will answer it one way.

A white, college deficient farmer from the South will answer it a different way.

I can't tell you what a racist is, but I know one when I see one.

Speaking of which, President Trump visited a southern state yesterday to spread his racial hatred.

Referring to the four women of color, newly elected Democratic members of the House of Representatives, Trump told a packed arena, “These left-wing ideologues see our nation as a force for evil.” To roaring applause, he railed against what he called “hate-filled extremists who are constantly trying to tear our country down.”

“They don’t love our country,” he said. “I think, in some cases, they hate our country. You know what? If they don’t love it, tell them to leave it.”

After Trump reeled off several controversial comments made by Representative Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, including accusations in which he depicted her as sympathetic to Al Qaeda, his adoring admirers began to chant “Send her back.”

For thirteen long seconds, Trump listened to the chant, a smirking grin on his face, obviously proud he had caused the chorus from the massive crowd of mostly southerners. He did not say another word until the chant finally died down.

Then came the morning after and the inevitable lies began.

Facing an onslaught of indignation and qualms even from his inner circle, Trump claimed to be unhappy his rally crowd broke into chants of "send her back."

"I was not happy with it. I disagree with it," Trump said at the White House a day after the rally, attacking those who attended his rally. Brilliant.

In a blatant lie, Trump told reporters he “started speaking very quickly” in an attempt to silence the rally attendees. He is on video with a shyt-eating grin on face listening to the chant for thirteen seconds until it dies out. How stupid can you be?

In another blatant lie that only his base could possibly believe, Trump casually said, "I didn't say that. They did."

“So interesting to see ‘Progressive’ Democrat Congresswomen, who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe. Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came."

    How stupid can you be?

    Trump lies so easily now.

Why? Trump can do anything, say anything and Republicans in Congress do nothing to rein him in. Instead, they re-interpret what Trump says then tell the American people he really meant something else. It is as if both Trump and Trump Republicans have challenges with the English language.

    Check!

Turns out you not only believe in elfs but also in werewolves and vampires and ghosts. They're in Webster's. So is Thor, and Apollo, and...

Wow! Your belief in "races" is the least of your problems.

Here's the other half of that story ... the half you somehow missed:

A 70 year old Chinese rice farmer will answer it one way, and a Black Lives Matter radical will answer it a different way.

They may be arbitrary and not based on science, but they still exist.
I was doing a little research on the subject. An author said race was a made up term. Makes me wonder about him. Every word in the English language and every other language is made up. I suppose he believes when objects arrived on earth, they were prelabelled.
