Philippine President Rodrigo Tells Jobless Filipinos to Kill Drug Addicts

Duterte gave a speech Monday at the airport as he returned from a trip to Qatar, during which he thanked overseas workers for their contribution to the economy and said he hoped they will help him in his war on drugs. He also said he resented giving money to rehabilitation centers to help addicts.

“It really hurts to give this P1 billion [$2 billion] to community-based drug addicts. But what can I do? I have to treat them, just as citizens of this Republic.But I really feel bad about it,” Duterte said.

“If you lose your job, I’ll give you one. Kill all the drug addicts.” He then said: “Help me kill addicts” and “Let’s kill addicts everyday.”

The guy dubbed the "Trump of the East" (a liberal slander attempt) has gone full board insane. For a sitting president to make such a horrific remark is unbecoming of the position. It's amazing he won given he made very clear pro-rape comments and admitted to murdering drug addicts as part of a death squad just months prior to running for election.

 

He's a genocidal psychopath and should be ousted for his inhumane rhetoric.

I used to believe drug addicts were useless members if society that were just as guilty of the massive number of murders committed by drug dealers because their stupidity open the market for the killer, but I now see that as wrong.
I've soften my stance considerably, now seeing them as weak minded, pathetic useless members of society who's mindless stupidity is preyed upon by the dealers.
As such, I no longer call for their execution, just arrest and forced to go cold turkey for at least three attempts if they fall back into their old idiocy with drugs.
After that I think we can safely say they aren't going to recover so death by firing squad or some other, cheaper method would be fine.

 

But, but, but what about the children left behind... Who is gong to raise them if we take away their dug addicted parent(s).... Boo hoo, sob and cry,,,,

 

The 'bleeding heart liberal' in me feels sorry for the kids but they will probably have more chance of growing up free of drug addiction and being forced into child prostitution to pay for their daddy's drugs if daddy is cured of his stupidity or just dead.
I understand cold turkey can be a nasty and dangerous experience so that should serve well in keeping the addict away from the dealers.
Dealers are very different, those should all face execution if arrested with anything more than a user quantity.
The silly end of society always claims the war on drugs can't be won, and they're right, but only because their stupid political pressure stops the drug dealing murderers from being removed from life.
Duterte proved them 100% wrong.

Immediate mandatory death sentance for anyone caught dealing any type of illegal drug.

However, I'd make legal the medical use of weed but strictly prescribed by a doctor for a very limited range of real medical problems.

 

I suppose you do realize the recovery rate from cocaine addiction is only something like 20%, and that many of our burglaries and other social l problems are due to addiction, correct?

The Philippine drug gangs are wimps. Duterte has already killed thousands of them and they haven't even hurt one hair on his head. He will end up killing all of them.

 

I heard from another poster that the kill the drug addicts move is just a cover to eliminate political opponents and cement his leadership in a despotism take over.

 

Considering how many people in the U.S. are addicted to prescription drugs, we should start with executing the CEO's of pharmaceutical companies as they are the biggest drug dealers of all.

 

If you're going to play that game why wouldn't the drug dealers unite and take you out? Why would they even let you see the next day after you advocate such a policy? The murder rate could soar off the charts within a week.

 

How many people die from those pushing drugs in the US? How many lives are ruined?

Duterte was elected on the platform of ending drugs in the Philippines, he actually RAN on this point, and won.

He's also not the only one. Many airports in SE asia have "death to drug smuggler" signs. If they catch you, you will be put to death.

 

In any case the victims are dummies for sitting on their butts getting picked off one after another.

When we drill down and find out what's been going on with people that end up addicted to hideous drugs and are often homeless we tend to most often find these three conditions - they were sexually abused when kids, they've fallen through the cracks where societal safety nets should have been, and they tend to be acutely sensitive and feel more intensely, which is where the numbing drugs show up. Having been failed by society they now face even more persecution because they're on drugs and are homeless.

These people are victims but we treat them like the enemy and demonise them 24/7.

Not at all - The vast majority of products don't destroy the consumer, their families and society in general.
I'd give them a few chances, but ultimately to have to stop or die.
Face it, most are going to die anyway so you just put them out of their misery and save society from having to put up with their lives.

 

The murder rate in the Philippines has risen a lot but the victims were all dealer (killers) and people who would have died of their drug habit anyway.
Take these two groups out of the numbers and the murder rate will have fallen as all the murders committed because of the drugs trade would disappear.
Short term spike and pretty much all people who don't matter anyway. - No big deal.

 

So many excuses but no facts.
Getting rid of the scum is no big loss to anyone but a massive gain to society in general. The US and UK are far too soft on dealers, simply locking them away instead of execution without the possibility of appeal.
