Thus, said two statements contradict each other.

It was clear from his posts that the person you are addresing either didn't understand junior High School level statistics or was just so desperate to defend the Dear Leader that he didn't even realize he was making contradictory and nonsensical arguments.

It is typical of the desperate responses of the cult to this story. Deny, decieve, obfuscate, attack and then disappear. The fact that this is on tape makes their attempts all the more comical. I expect Trump isn't surprised that the Assoc. Editor of Washington POSt, a tabloid with a strategy to unseat the president, would pick and choose "Trump words" against Trump.

Trump told Woodward that Coronavirus was 5 times deadlier than the flu on February 7th, which is what epidemiologists thought was possible that early in the epidemic, before we knew more about it.

In the time line,
CDC started screening all travelers from China (January 16)
One U.S. case was confirmed and quarantined (January 21)
Trump creates U.S. task force with Dr. Fauci as lead epidemiologist (January 29)
Trump had shut down entry to the U.S. from China of anyone except legal residents (January 31)
[Trump comments to Bob Woodward (February 7 )]
First instance of community spread documented in California (February 26)

There was no reason for the President to panic Americans when the Task Force thought we had the virus under control with tracing and quarantine efforts through February. In fact, there should never be a reason for a president to panic Americans. Panic doesn't add value to a pandemic.

The CDC, Task Force, and state governors were distributing facts and published data, so no one was in the dark. The president was projecting confidence that we would rise to meet the challenges of the virus, which we have done.

The virus has turned out to be more virulent than the flu, but not 5x more virulent as many thought in early February. It was good for the president to keep people calm versus start a panic on early models while simultaneously keeping the public informed with facts through daily Task Force briefings.

With 18 taped interviews between Trump and Woodward (THERE ARE TAPES!!!! LOL ), I certainly expect more hyped up "fear, anger and panic" headlines to spring from those conversations right up through November 3rd. IMO, fear, anger and panic aren't healthy for the country, but that is the left-wing playbook for 2020. It is what it is.

 

So, do we need a vaccine, or is it overblown and will go away after the election? It really can't be both.

The attempted defense of dear leader is laughable

 

I call it more sad than laughable. He literally can do no wrong. There has not been a president in my 54 years of life that hasn't made some sort of blunder. Not Trump, though, he's the first perfect human in all of human history.

 

Herman Cain was an independent thinker. He fought to battles against cancer. Though he won those battles, it left his body severely compromised. China Virus goes after the severely compromised. I'm sure Herman Cain would agree with the adage of my forefather "Live Free or Die". Some of us would rather die than live in fear..... or march to the commands of the Bolshevik types! I think you have contempt for those that, by their own choice, live free. That is why you try and pin death on our President. Sturgis represents that freedom.
