GOP Senate candidate Roy Moore and his Democratic opponent Doug Jones are neck and neck in Alabama's Senate race just three weeks ahead of the December election, according to a new poll released Tuesday.

The poll, conducted by Strategy Research for the Montgomery-based Raycom News Network, shows Moore receiving 47 percent of the vote, with Jones at 45 percent. Five percent of respondents were undecided, while 3 percent said they plan to cast their ballots for write-in candidates.

A week ago they were claiming Jones was 12 points ahead. Possibly Alabama voters do care more about issues of government than the last minute personal attacks to try to divert from any issues relevant to government and may not vote in support of continuing the Obama liberal agenda and to eliminate our national borders.

If Moore were to win, I don't really think it would be a surprise.

    Trump got 62% in Alabama.

So, "Strategy Research", which is a hidden Republican firm that refuses to release any internals, headed by Pat LaPlatney, a huge Trump supporter, in conjunction with FOX, puts out a poll that shows a significant REDUCTION in Moore's lead, from +11 to +9 one week ago, now to +2.

I would hardly call that good news for the Moore camp when the very best a hard right pollster can do is to get him to +2 in a state that Trump won by almost +29 and where both senatorial races in the last six years where there was a two man race produced +28 and +30 results, respectively.

It takes a special kind of stupid on the part of Republicans to put, of all states, Alabama into play.

    You wrote the following sentence:

"A week ago they were claiming Jones was 12 points ahead. "

I have no idea who you think "they" is, but it was neither FOX 10 nor was it Raycom nor was it Strategy Research. A FOX-News poll, conducted by Robbins and Shaw, completely independent of FOX 10 and Strategy Research, showed Jones up by a maximum of +8, not +12. You do realize that "Robbins and Shaw" is not the same pollster as "Strategy Research", right? So, I just thought I would point out that very deliberate obfuscation on your part.

The poll to which you are probably referring was an INTERNAL poll, not a public poll, released by the RNSC, and the Politico article doesn't even name the pollster and also, no internals are mentioned. In fact, Politico even reported that it didn't even get all of the data from the RNSC. It is, however, interesting that a REPUBLICAN organization put out this data.

That being said, Jones is still likely the underdog here, if for no other reason than the so-called "snap-back" effect among undecided voters who tend to go with the party that has the deeper DNA in a certain state. But then again, anything could happen in the next three weeks.

Better luck to you next time getting your story straight.

Time for more root-beer and popcorn...

The current moron in the White House is supporting Moore, the governor of Alabama intends to vote for Moore, the Alabama Republican hierarchy will vote for Moore and a big chunk of the evangelical population of Alabama is having a "come to Roy" moment. As much as I'd like to see Doug Jones win, he has an uphill fight on his hands.

The choice is between a certifiable law breaking bat **** crazy idiot who spews total nonsense (Roy Moore) and a decent, smart man with common sense, a hell of a legal background and well versed in the issues of the day (Doug Jones).....and this was before the child molesting / sexual harassment allegations came out about Moore. Yes, in this current Republican party bizzarro world, Moore will likely win........if he does it will signal the end of the Republican party as we know it and the lunatics will have completely taken over.
