"Two Polls That Predicted Trump's 2016 Win Now Predict His 2020 Landslide Loss"

"In 2016, both the Investor's Business Daily/TechnoMetrica poll (IBD/TIPP) and University of Southern Both pollsters now have Trump losing.

As of October 12, 2020, the IBD/TIPP poll has Trump losing to Biden by 8.5 percentage points, and the USC poll has Trump losing to Biden by 13 percentage points. It seems The LA Times is no longer partnering with USC for its 2020 poll.California Dornslife/Los Angeles Times poll (USC/LA Times) both predicted Trump's victory."

Oh you mean like Trump F 'd up the Coronavirus ( with over 200,000 dead he wont recognize) and the tumbling economy, and didn't have the common sense to protect himself and his wife from covid-19 by simply wearing a mask and washing his hands and role modeled to his followers that it's OK not to wear masks because the virus won't touch you??

My County is very conservative/Republican, and many people I spoke to, including myself, have grown tired of listening to Trump, and his behaviour, and we’re at a point where we don’t even care.

I believe Trump’s loyalists are aware of said “rejection attitude”, among independents, Democrats, and rhino republicans.

Even the Republicans in congress think he is going to lose so they are attempting to ram through an unqualified and partisan justice before the election.

There are similarities between Trump’s handling of Covid19 and his failed ventures.

His Dad certainly didn’t give Donald millions to sell steaks and water bottles so to speak.

I know several people that were lifelong Democrats (well over 100 Swing State Voters) that voted twice for Obama then "took a chance" on Trump in 2016, that are ALL Voting Biden in 2020.

Just a tiny sample of the Anti-Trump Tsunami.

He answered the question of “what do you have to lose”.
220,000 people is apparently the answer
Along with our international standings, bipartisan supreme court and virtually all presidential norms and ethics

I also hate how he handled COVID. He should have fought the medical community over the guidelines that recommended closing businesses. I will never forgive him for that.

They have the numbers so I guarantee they will be successful in completely destroying the legitimacy of the court.

I remember when Republicans cried the courts were hyper partisan and illegitimate when the court was a 4-5 or 5-4 but now cheer that each ruling will be 6-3. Strange narrative but it lines up with the party acronym I guess. Gaslight, obstruct, project

    Since the beginning of the pandemic, I’ve been a pro-Taiwan “Let’s keep working strategy”;

    Keep working
    Wear masks
    Keep your distance

......and said strategy will be easier to implement and sustained next pandemic LIKE COVID19. What we basically went through is a sad rehearsal.

The Herd strategy, nearly impossible to implement during an election year.

For government to close businesses under threat of arrest, fines and imprisonment without enacting a law is clearly authoritarian. It is the worst thing I have seen government do in my memory.

I'm all for fighting virus without messing with the economy. I certainly approve of people making a choice to avoid businesses for fear of the virus. It is fine for government to provide guidelines for fighting the virus that don't create a second and worse crisis. I've never seen government behave this way and I don't like it at all. This is not a personal issue. I didn't close my business. But 100's of thousands of other businesses certainly we forced to do so. Not acceptable.

For Pete's sake don't be silly. There is a vacancy on the court. The president has a friendly senate. It results from the 2016 and 2018 elections. It is completely understandable. What would a democrat president do? If you don't know I'll tell you that the democrat president would do exactly the same thing.

All of the effort of posting on this... What you hoped wouldn't happen 2016- to what you 'hypothetically' hope won't happen in 2020 ~ ROTFL... :)

That's good news indeed for the country and the world, but I'll still be holding my breath until the election is over and Trump is shown the door.

But the struggle won't be over even if Trump loses. While Biden will be exponentially better at the Resolute Desk than Trump ever was, we shouldn't forget that the Democrats will only be winning this election because Trump is such a disgraceful asshat. We will need to hold their feet to the fire both to get things done and to make sure they don't spend all their time trying to get back at Trump and the Democrats.

I'm actually hoping that the Republicans hold on to the Senate or flip the house. I don't want a government run entirely by a Democratic majority any more than I'd want one run by a Republican majority.

Democrats last attempt was a moderate that had the acceptance of both parties, a single member blocked the nomination which was not the intention of the constitutional requirement or norms of the Senate.

So please spare us all with the “both parties are the same” nonsense.

And no, I don’t know and neither do you no matter how much you want to claim psychic ability.
All we know is what is currently occurring which is the opposite or what Republicans said was important in 2016 which was we needed to hear from the voters. The voice of the voter mattered in 2016 for almost a year but it suddenly does not matter with less than 30 days to go.

Well if they vote for Biden they better not do any complaining when progressives force him to tighten gun laws and raise taxes. I guess they would rather deal with that than "Trump's attitude". I'm not a huge Trump fan either, I am voting for his policies and his actions as President, not him as a person. I can barely stand to listen to him talk myself, but every time I see him trying to accomplish something as President it is in line with what I would want him to be doing so I can't complain that much.

    Old George;

Old George is a 82 years old farmer in my community, very conservative, and still an active farmer.

Everyone knows Old George, however, in retail stores, and at gas stations, He’s unrecognizable....wears a mask, a shield, his overalls, rubber boots, a jacket, and a pair of gloves, and some have said, he’s over-protecting himself.

Thus, obviously, Old George is scared of Covid19.

Anyone; How does OG feel about Republican/Conservative politicians telling him to let his guard down, join the crowd, and have a good time?

Folks, there are millions of conservative seniors who have been over-protecting themselves like Old George, and no doubt they also want their elected officials to keep a lid on Covid19 until we have a vaccine.

I didn't say both parties are the same. I said democrats would do the same thing given a democrat president with a friendly senate. Common sense tells me that not psychic ability. If Garland had been acceptable to both sides he would have been confirmed. So we disagree.

Yes. And, many of those small business owners have had to shut down permanently. I don't want to sound like a conspiracy theorists but I've been pondering this for months now. What if the goal was to destroy small businesses and cull the herd? I would like to think the POTUS and his Administration aren't that diabolical but it's hard to rationalize how this has been handled and is still being handled. I was sincerely hoping he would recover from the virus and turn a new leaf. Instead, it seems to have made him think he's invincible (and all those lives lost fall into "it is what it is." category). None of it makes sense.
