    A hurricane is measured, identified, and categorized by its winds.

    It doesn't matter how you choose to define the actual location of the hurricane. The point was to notify people who might get hit.

    And on Sept 1 when the President made the tweet, Alabama was not in danger.

    To be more clear they were NEVER in the cone of uncertainty.

    So when the dumbass made an innocent mistake he compounded it with a lie. That’s a serious character flaw.

    In the original projections they were in the hazardous area around the center of the storm. The graphic with the sharpie has a black box that explains why this graphic doesn't show Alabama in the circle. The graphic is meant to show the trajectory of the storm, not the hazardous area of the storm.

    Would you rather know if you are in center of the storm or if you are in the hazardous area?

    I'm disappointed a President would lie to cover up such a minor mistake, when the science was spot on for the forecast. tRump could have just said he meant a long range, early forecast that wasn't released and that forecast had changed later without his knowledge. The thing is tRump acted like he was heavily involved in a rescue for political reasons and he looked bad.

    My whole argument in that last post was that the cone of uncertainty is irrelevant to what is of concern. The cone of uncertainty only identifies the possible position of the center of the storm and does not indicate or take into account the size of the storm itself. This is why I linked the other graphic. How can you say that Alabama will not get hit if you ignore the size?

    Because we have a constitution that mandates elections every 4 years... but has an off ramp with impeachment and removal in case of emergency...

    We are THERE....

    Conservatives try to scare everybody that Mike Pence is a religious nut.... that may be, but he's been a US Congressman, a US Governor, and is not mentally impaired.... We'll take him for the 10 months of 2020...

    Yes but we don’t make evacuations plans based on that map. The cone of uncertainty is scientific.

    Besides when he made his erroneous tweet on Sept 1. We did have a come to follow and Alabama was NOT or NEVER in it.

    Why draw a map to cover your innocent mistake and turn it into a lie?

    Hell no... the Dems are too unpredictable and Nancy is pissing many of them off.... If it's not done before 1/1/2020, it's too late, but they took out Clinton in 2.5 months in 1998 (10/8/98 - 12/19/98).... The same could happen here..

    Yes!... in the top photo, you can really spot the difficulty Trump is having hiding that huge bald area on the back of his head... Now I know why he is rarely photographed without a hat while walking away from a camera...

    There currently are 8 other weather systems of the West coast of Africa or in West Africa. One of them may develope into a tropical storm then a huricane and then move west and then take a slightly southern track go be.ow Peurto RICO then below Cuba and then go into the Gulf and then gain strength and then move north and then hit Alabama.

    The chances are about .00000000045 % that this will happen.

    Does any Trump fan want to take a sharpie and draw a map showing that storm hitting Alabama and let Trump present it on Fox?

    We don't make evacuation plans based only on the cone. Besides, Trump never said to evacuate Alabama.
