President Trump To Sharyl Attkisson: “I have a chance to break the deep state” Interview Airs Sunday

President Trump says he is making inroads in taming Washington's permanent bureaucracy, the deep state.

"'What am I doing? I'm fighting the deep state,' 'I'm fighting the swamp…If it keeps going the way it's going, I have a chance to break the deep state. It's a vicious group of people. It's very bad for our country.'"

This is not a bureaucracy.

The deep state is a police state that lies to spy on the political opposition.

Chris Janicek was the dream candidate for Nebraska Democrats hoping to unseat Ben Sasse. The openly gay moderate might have given them enough credibility on both wings of their party and among Cornhuskers to give a serious challenge to incumbent Republican Ben Sasse, whose occasional clashes with Trump might have left him a little vulnerable.

Let his Freak Flag Fly by Campaign Email​

Janicek sent an email to a woman on his campaign discussing whether to spend money on “getting her laid,” and that “it will probably take three guys” to accomplish it. He was arguing with at the time in a group text with 5 other people, all who were included on the missive. “It will probably take three guys,” he wrote, before describing in graphic detail an imagined group sex scene involving the female staffer.

Sexual Harasser Janicek already has been nominated. The party can’t remove him now that he’s been certified. A new nomination would first require Janicek to step aside, and he’d have to do so before September 11, when the state certifies the general-election ballot. That would force the party to hand-pick Janicek’s replacement, which would itself create all sorts of headaches for the party, but not as many as having these texts floating around in a general election.

Janicek isn’t interested in withdrawing. He claims that as a gay man he can’t be accused of sexually harassing a woman. He also claims that the woman's own conduct, which he heard while eavesdropping on her personal phone-call with a confident, invited the comments. He says this is a frame-up by left-wing extremists within his party to oust him over his more conservative views on guns and abortion.

It seems pretty doubtful that a man who had no qualms about discussing a staffer’s sex life and suggesting it would take three men to satisfy her in an e-mail would be easily shamed into quitting.

Right now the betting odds slightly favor Democrats, but the GOP has even odds.
