But the process that got them all there most certainly was. We elected the Presidents that nominated them all and the senators who confirmed them. They are a co equal branch of government and determine whether laws follow the constitution or not. I guess you can always hope that Thomas and Alito retire with a democrat in the White House and controlling the Senate.
