Our friends on the left are always claiming President Trump is Putin's puppet, well it seems the real puppet is Joe Biden.

If you've ever wondered how scumbaggish this administration is, well here's clarification.

Biden lifted sanctions on Russia to lower oil and gas prices, from today until......November 1, 2024, 4 days before the election.

    Talk about pathetic and desperate.

I suppose they think if he steals the election, then the suckers that 'voted' for him can choke on higher fuel prices post election.

If true, it means that Biden is giving money to Ukraine, and he's making it easier for Russia to finance their war on Ukraine. In other words Biden is financing both sides.

This is nothing new. Biden has been giving money to Iran at the same time that Iran is shipping missiles to their proxies to bomb Israel. Then Biden is giving billions to Israel for their defence.

It's totally mindless, but what else would you expect from the worst administration in history?

Biden has to get reelected "by any means necessary".

They are scared because they know they'll have to pay the piper once Trump is in office.

They've spent years telling everyone how evil Russia is, but are easing restrictions to try and win an election in 2024.

So evil , but not evil enough to sacrifice votes over in November. It's so ****ing pathetic

Beating Trump > Beating Russia. Apparently.

It is rather unnerving the complete lack of attempt to even hide the agenda. I mean they didn't have to sunset this right before the election, they chose to, because they don't care if everyone knows that its 100% to get a few more votes for Biden at the cost of the Ukrainian defense effort. 'We'll buy Russia more weapons to buy more votes for Biden, and people are going to accept this.' And they're right, people will accept it.

Is there anything the 'neverTrump' crowd wouldn't accept in the effort of preventing another Trump election? I doubt it.

By any means necessary. That's why I'm predicting a violent coup, should Trump get elected.

Doing an internet search using DuckDuckGo and then Bing, the only reports I see regarding Biden lifting Russia sanctions are from 2021. Anyone else run into this problem? I would think Right wing media sources would be running wild with this.

The link in the OP is from a government website. Click on it, scroll to the bottom and you’ll see this was done yesterday.

But how is it not being reported? Surely if Bill Carson can get a hold of this, reporters for FOX, Newsmax, etc could also get a hold of this, no?

Sure, and assuming they have, they still have to write an article, have it edited, reviewed, edited again, make sure the story doesn't run afoul of any of the major shareholders... corporate news can be slow.

Maybe. Lots of internet sites that don’t have such a cumbersome process. Guess we’ll hopefully find out soon enough.

I thought it was obvious I was looking for news sites reporting on this. So far I’ve seen nothing. Seems odd to me.

Guess this means we shouldn't vote for either Trump or Biden, right, if being "supportive" of Russia is the line in the sand? Or does Trump get a pass here like he does for everything else his voters overlook in him but condemn in others?

Yes, if Trump were to be elected, the Democrat left will go ballistic. There will be an end to end replay of the summer of 2020.

This is no reason to vote for Biden. If the Democrats achieve the cultural revolution they want, they will crack down on all of those who oppose their authoritarian government. That includes the left and the right. If there were a college uprising, like we have seen for past two weeks, they would put it down in short order if it opposed government policy. Think of what the Chinese Government did after the Tiananmen Square protests.

Do you think I’m wrong? Look at how the Democrats are using the legal system against Trump and other Republicans. That is a “gentle revolution” within the legal system.

It’s an amazing how the Biden junta will bend over backwards to get the vote of far leftists and yet has nothing but a thumb to the eye for hardworking middle class people.

Claim; Joe lifted Russia’s energy sanctions because he wants cheap gas prior to Nov 5th/election.

Well, I didn’t look further because this claim doesn’t make any sense.

    However, thanks for your clarification.

This is just a reauthorisation of an ongoing licence that always runs in 6-month periods (hence it currently being number 8I). It can (and, all else being equal, probably will) be extended another six months at the end of September, as 8J. I very much doubt whoever is President will be directly aware of it, since such procedural matters are obviously delegated.

Anyway, any impact on energy prices in the US would have significant lead time, so much of the benefit (if any) from this six month period would be realised under the next president (whoever that might be).

Also, does your position on this mean you object to any kind of management of sanctions regimes to seek to have the best impact on the intended targets but to also minimise the negative consequences on anyone else? Or do you support any and all sanctions against Russia, regardless of how much it could increase fuel costs for Americans?
