I'm thinking of buying it because of its backward compatibility with PS4 games.
I never had the PS4, but that console has a lot of RPG game titles to choose from.
Just wondering how that compatibility works. Like, can I buy PS4 game disc and play it on PS5?

Seems that you can indeed use a PS4 game disc, and it seems that compatible PS4 digital games will be available when you sign in on your PS5. There are a few games that aren't compatible, though, according to Sony:

PS4 games that are not compatible with PS5
Sony has published a small list of PS4-only games that are not backward compatible with the PS5. They are:

    • "DWVR"
    • "Afro Samurai 2 Revenge of Kuma Volume One"
    • "TT Isle of Man - Ride on the Edge 2"
    • "Just Deal With It!"
    • "Robinson: The Journey"
    • "We Sing"
    • "Hitman Go: Definitive Edition"
    • "Shadwen"
    • "Joe's Diner"

PS5 is also subject to scalping right now. I personally would never want to support a scalper just to get a game console, so I would hold off on getting a PS5 until supply gets caught up with demand..
