Psychic predicted the pandemic

Just ran across this and thought it might be good for conversation. Apparently, the late Sylvia Browne predicted the pandemic in her book "End of Days: Predictions and Prophecies About the End of the World" (2008 ).

"In around 2020 a severe pneumonia-like illness will spread throughout the globe attacking the lungs and the bronchial tubes and all known treatments," Browne wrote. "Almost more baffling than the illness will be the fact that it will suddenly vanish as quickly as it arrived, attack again ten years later and then vanish completely."

I don't believe in psychics but I think some things that simply can't be explained with the knowledge we have today. So, the question becomes how did Browne know about this at least twelve years before it happened?

There has been about one pandemic a decade ... so more of an educated guess than a psychic prediction.

Ms. Sylvia Browne was not somebody to laugh at. I know this partly because my wife gets dreams that come to pass in ways that have really shocked me.

 

I know that's possible because it's happened to me as well. I avoided death every time it's happened. I don't mean that to sound melodramatic or anything. It's just bizarre and I don't know how to explain it.

 

I'll believe it when there are dates and specifics, and it verifiably pre-dates the predicted event.

There are some people who have an amazing track record for predicting the future and I like how they tell us that our actions can actually positively alter the future if we will make better decisions.

There have been psychics, if that is the proper word, throughout the history of mankind. Maybe Ms. Brown is one of them?

 

She never did win the lottery.

This woman also made these rather less compelling predictions:-

• Atlantis and Lemuria will ascend from the profundities.
• Rising barrenness will be brought about by spirits who would prefer not to resurrect.
• Gathering the phones of infants will prompt “splendid progression in cloning”.
• Meteor showers and space rubbish will shower the earth in 2029.
• Old illnesses like smallpox and polio will return again since individuals have stopped vaccinating.
• 75% of the earth will be canvassed in water.
• Families will have air cushion vehicles and homes with retractable rooftops.
• Visual impairment and deafness will be “a relic of past times by 2020”.
• There will be a “deliberate alliance all things considered”.
• A “polar tilt” will arrive at its top in 2020.
• female and male pedophiles will be “fixed”

 

I think it sounds exactly like what Dean Koontz wrote in one of his books.
