The continued trolling of the lie that someone is terrified the fossil fuel industry would largely become redundant is throwing shade. The real issue is the viability of 100% government forced renewable energy in 10-12 years without nuclear is basically a fantasy. No one is against renewables but they are not the end all and be all and we have to be careful not to price the poor out of energy. Since CO2 production in the US has not increased while the CO2 production in India and China have ballooned do you propose going to war with them to reduce CO2?

Both your links confirm my points. The rate of rise is approximately 1/8” per year which is ~ 2 mm per year which is ~ 1 foot per century. That is nothing to worry about unless you actually believe that 2 mm per year will result in Florida being submerged. The comments on tsunamis and storm surges are ridiculous.

Your plan will result in economic contraction and the loss of human life.

Fossil fuels are responsible for saving more lives than any other technological advance in the history of human development.

You have no data that shows anything like that.

You can’t read can you ? That’s the problem. Likewise, you know nothing about science. Storm surges are now 8 inches higher then in 1900. Do you know how much additional water that is ? Over the next decades, it will rise at a higher rate.
Read the rest. The first statement says the rate of increase is larger. You don’t seem to know what that means either.
Have you taken any math beyound addition and subtraction ? Just a little high school calculus would help. Ask a friend who knows math who will still speak to you.

Do you know how much 8 inches of additional water is affected by a tsunami or tidal wave ? The effects are dramatically greater.

Your little absurd remark that somehow it’s Obama’s military.....what, two years into the Trump the ten year olds presidency ? Read their preparations NOW.

How utterly reduculous can you pretend to be smarter then every university, our military and everyother govt in the world ?

Your denials are stunnngly unaware. Did you even take 10 th grade math and science ?

You think 8 inches of additional water in storm surges the past 100 years is insignificant, especially when the rate of increase is increasing. That is stunningly ignorant of science. Do you know how much force and additional erosion and less of farmlands that is ?

We are the second biggest polluter still. So we don’t have to do any thing cause we’re not first ? Unbelievably selfish....

The hysteria lives on despite no proof. The IPCC once again reports that there is little basis for claiming that drought, floods, hurricanes, tornadoes have increased, much less increased due to GHGs.

For it's output, that is a lot of expense.

There us no reason to keep building more fossil fuel plants.
Not anymore. This was three years ago.
^Fossil fuel steam averages around $0.05 cents/kWh and small scale natural gas can go as low as $0.03 cents/kWh. It’s no wonder that the world was shocked in 2016 when a major commercial solar installation bid the lowest price for PV to date at $0.029 cents per kWh – effectively leveling the playing field between solar and fossil fuels’ cheapest offerings.^

I don't know why they would still propose that since there are machines now that can convert CO2 into fuel.
It would be nice if they waited to start reducing CO2 when the levels are most optimal for plant growth. All the democrats cities will be under water by then so that's good as well!

Evidently China doesn't agree. Neither does India. Going to go to war to stop them?

During this 2.5 million year ice age, CO2 has been close to the 150ppm level where plants die. We are at an all time low and increasing CO2 will only help. Under higher CO2 plants grow faster and bigger and use less water.

Yeah but are we taking into account that a lot of those solar jobs are temporary? I mean we are currently installing a lot of new solar but what is the required labor for continued maintenance? Do we just hire homeless once a year to clean off the dirt on the panels for min wage?

So, you’re now arguing what, there is man made climate change but where not first so we should do Nothing? What’s your point ?
    If China pollutes more ,
We move as fast as we can and share technology. We build the new tech solutions that we have, and sell it abroad cheaper then they can make it and we do it now.

Oh, and cial mining jobs are so safe.
Nope. There are high skilled solar manufacturing jobs that are open.
So, you would prefer to dig for coal ?
Nope. Solar manufacturing is an American industry.
“There were 38,000 jobs in solar manufacturing in the U.S. at the end of 2016, and all but 2,000 made something other than cells and panels “

    Storm surges ?? Where ??

Sea level has increased ~ 1 foot since 1900. That doesn’t result in 8 foot higher storm surges.

Obama directed the military when he was in office. They aren’t wasting time on global warming now.

Universities make money producing papers supporting global warming alarmism. Follow the money.

I have a BSChemE and a MSMechE Thermal Systems.

Everyone who has studied global warming knows this. The fact that you don’t is telling. Do your homework.

Why are you arguing for dirty energy when ciwan is available. For get global warming, which pollutes less of the air we breath ! Are you for pollution ! Or does new technology scare you ?

That’s too funny. The rate of sea level rise is not increasing and it is ~ 1 foot per century.

How much does the sea level rise if the arctic ice melts ??
