If Muslims come from a different son of Abraham, shouldn't there be a different historical story to tell? Why does it comment on the Bible when it should be a totally different sect seperate from the Bible- the story of the lineage of a different son of Abraham.

As if we are looking back at a 3,000 year old story or two children- one or the other (according to whom you worship) living out their seperate lives... it makes no sense.

    Simple.

Abraham worshipped the one God. Isaac worshipped that God. Ismael worshipprd that God.

So, since Islam is the worship of the God of Abraham, stories from the Bible and Quran would be similar.

Just like we recognize the Prophets in the Bible as the Prophets of Islam as well.

Islam, Christianity, and Judaism are all mutually exclusive. You literally cannot all be right.

I have it on good authority that a Christian might say you are following a false Prophet. Muhammad (PBUH)... A Jew probably wouldn't say much, you know, because of the whole Islam/Jewish disagreement.

Superstition built, borrowed, and stolen from.. more superstition.

Only certain people of each faith think like that. Fortunately, what they think doesn't mean much.

If somebody thinks Muhammad PBUH is a false Prophet, that is their problem. Regardless what they thinl, I believe he is a true Prophet of Allah SWT. If some think Allah SWT is a moon god, again thats their problem. If some think the Quran is of the devil (Astaghfurallah) it means nothing. Do you see what I am trying to say?

Peoples opinions of faith cannot change my views on it. And it should be like that for everybody, then these little comments would stop.

The three faiths revolve around the one main concept of worshipping the God of Abraham. Acknowledging that there is only one God, wether you say God, Allah, or Jehovah.

The Quran says the good people of each of the faiths, who do good things throughout their life and worship Allah SWT, will enter paradise.

    What dissagreement do you mean?

Response: Th qur'an is not a history book, so it does not go into history and tell historical stories unless it is relevant to the message of the qur'an.

You were nearly on to a good one .
With apologies , the spelling ( here at least) is Masturbater .
Which would have got you a punch line on Master Beater or Hater or Bater ( out of usage really)
Trouble is , it's not that funny .
    Ignore .

Never having masterbated myself, I was uncertain of the spelling. How about Mister Bates?

Is the inference that you would know the spelling if you had masturbated more often ?
I must think of some words I can never spell --- like psoriasis .
Incidentally was Dali's , The Great Masturbator( his spelling), a comment on Mohammed which we have just unearthed ?

So the Qu'ran, which is the story of the other son and his lineage; which was totally seperate from the other son's, still somehow has a parallel story to tell. Like Jesus- both the New Testament and the Qu'ran follow him.

Why would all the stories of the Bible be exclusive to Isaac PBUH only? God isn't the God of Isaac PBUH, it's Abraham PBUH.

The stories are relevent to the times, some are similar, and some are exclusive to the Quran and Bible.

I don't see anything wrong with this, as both faiths and both messengers (Jesus PBUH, Muhammad PBUH, and Moses PBUH as well) are based on worshipping the same God.

The Quran isn't the story of Ishmael PBUH, and the Bible isn't the story of Isaac PBUH. And I don't know 100% what you mean by "follow him", but if by "him" you mean Jesus PBUH the Quran does not follow Jesus PBUH, Muhammad PBUH, Ishmael PBUH, Isaac PBUH or Abraham PBUH...

    I think you are confused.
