"There is racism towards the blacks. But it is perpetuated by the blacks own behavior." When people have a preconception of your behavior and then your actions duplicate that preconception, your actions perpetuate that attitude.
There is no excuse for being racist. The fact that you’re defending racists speaks volumes about who you are as a person.
Nope. To me...if a white person resists arrest that makes him a moron. If a black person resists arrest he too is a moron. Racism shouldn’t be a factor. Racism is born out of ignorance on the part of the racist.
Racism is also based on a history of negative experiences. Those negative experiences from a pattern. After a while that pattern forms future expectations. Those expectations form the basis of stereotypes and the continued reinforcement of those stereotypes form the basis of racism.
I am not defending racists. I am just stating the facts. What part of the following statement is wrong? "When people have a preconception of your behavior and then your actions duplicate that preconception, your actions perpetuate that attitude. "
you are certainly entitled to your infantile opinion but the complexities of the situation are far greater.
Do you agree with this statement? "When people have a preconception of your behavior and then your actions duplicate that preconception, your actions perpetuate that attitude. "
Having a preconceived notion about someone does not justify racism. So to you, a white person who resists arrest is just breaking the law. But a black man resisting arrest is being black? Does that sum it up?
How about answering the question? Do you agree with this statement? "When people have a preconception of your behavior and then your actions duplicate that preconception, your actions perpetuate that attitude. "
Great post, except for this: "...leading to more suppression..." There is no evidence, in the USA, to support this contention. I can't speak to the situation in Canada. The only suppressed "black" people, here, are openly political conservatives.
