The entire point of a spectrum is that it doesn't have two binary sides. I'm talking about people who ignore the spectrum and try to create a simple "us vs them" binary division. You know, like asking questions like "Can only Republicans or Democrats can be racist?"

You couldn't blindly follow any political party because they all have manifestos and sets of policies which are contradictory and constantly shifting. Just identifying anything as "my party" is symbolic of the underlying issue though. It's all part of the divisive pollical environment (in the US and elsewhere) where everything and everyone is pigeonholed under on political label or another so they can be celebrated, condemned or dismissed without any actual thought or detail on the specific question or any effort in to reaching reasonable compromises.

Heck no, I am far from perfect. When I say everyone is racist, I'm obviously including myself as part of everyone. Recognising and admitting your own flaws is a major aspect of breaking the partisan status quo.

I'm not sure when I became the subject. The subject is racism. You asked a very specific, targeted question and I presented a wider view of the topic to explain why I feel your question is flawed.

Sorry, but is this you trying to convince us that you're not racist? That is an extremely simplistic negative view of a vast and widely diverse group of people all around the world. While there are certainly racial differences and divisions in various countries and communities, the idea any of those are so easy to define (and attribute blame for) is simply wrong. If it was that easy, it wouldn't be one of the major social issues throughout human history.

I agree, but that isn't because they're Democrats, it's because they're politicians. Republicans, Libertarians, Greens... they all do the same thing, albeit often in different ways and across different groups of voters. All the politicians here in the UK do the same thing too, but none of them are either Democrats or Republicans.

That is still your assumption on the sole basis that I challenged you on this one specific question. You shouldn't need to label anyone, let alone an outsider like me, with either of your partisan political labels. Political discussions should be based entirely on the individual practical realities of whatever the topic is, there is zero need nor benefit to make generic references to partisan labels at all. They're generally only brought up when people don't want to (or can't) debate on the facts.

It's not unlike blaming the people of any one particular skin colour for all the problems in society.

The first thing is admitting that you're a racist. Now that you've done that, you can try and fix it.

I'll quote Dr. King. "you shouldn't judge someone on their skin color, but the content of their character."

Of course, I'm not surprised, that you did admit that you're a racist, because your ideals are related to that of an American Democrat.

I don't think I'm better than anyone, simply because I'm white. That would be just wrong man. You should work on that.

If you weren't a racist, I'd want to talk with you more, because other than that you seem pretty intelligent.

Owe, is that why Trump was praised by so many Jewish people? and by the way, you might want to know, that the term "Jews", is used usually as a Anti-Semetic slur, to put down Jewish People. lmao!!!!

If it was already the capital, why was it such a big deal to so many Jewish People? lmao!!!

So, you're saying that Trump constantly did the right things, but for the wrong reason? Hu, that's a new one. At least it's not the same old thing. lol.

I said everyone is a little bit racist (note, distinct from "a racist" - it's just one of countless human characteristics, not a type of person). If you're agreeing with me, you're admitting that you're racist too. We can't fix it as such, it's just a subconscious animal instinct. If we recognise it though, in ourselves and others, we can seek to manage and mitigate it's negative consequences. One of those would be to stop using "racists" as a term of political attack and insult against very broadly defined groups of people (a form of discrimination in itself, albeit typically legal).

Wasn't a substantial chunk of your previous post all about what (you believe) American black men think and do in generic terms, essentially judging them by the colour of their skin by definition?

I didn't know what your skin colour was and you still don't know mine. It isn't relevant to our discussion.

This is completely off topic. You derail your own thread.

The term "Jews" is not a slur. Are you American?

I'm not sure Trump himself is racist, but he surely is a master at playing the racist card to win votes. He's unreliable. He's bad for America, bad for Americans.

What about the racial and ethnic conflicts in Africa and the Middle East that don't involve white people at all?

Land and resource conflicts? You'll have to be more specific if you're attempting to discredit my assertion than black ppl cannot be racist.

It's impossible for a father to hate his son? Interesting.
I have a Cuban relative (thru marriage) who hates Koreans. He is 1/8 black. By your peculiar theory, what would be the the level of Blackness he would need to have in order to no longer be a racist?

100 percent to guarantee a free pass I'm afraid. That does not mean he cannot claim this higher enlightenment though if he were to fully endorse his black roots then he too could be omitted from the category of the potential racist.

Sure, land and resource conflicts sometimes, conflicts that can also involve ethnic or racial discrimination in multiple directions, as motives, consequences or complicating factors.

In general, I would have expected if you really cared about black people in general (rather than just American politics), you'd be aware of the wide range of issues across the diversity of the African continent, including examples of racism against black people but also examples of racism by black people against groups like Arabs, Jews or other black people (based on tribal, ethnic or cultural bases). Most of the examples are complex and the result of long running conflicts, often created or complicated by the history of colonialism, but the idea that any person with black skin is somehow fundamentally incapable of being racist is simply wrong. The idea that a person with black skin being racist can never be treated as actual racism is, ironically, racist.

Sorry, I'd intended to link this. I'm not interested in going back and forth on specific examples though. Your position is that literally none can possibly exist so debating one of two is meaningless.

“The Jews were responsible for all of this filth and degenerate behavior that Hollywood is putting out: turning men into women, and women into men.”

To any reasonable person that is a racist statement. It defines an entire culture as evil through an inaccurate sweeping statement. You have somehow rationalized that people with a certain skin color, no matter their origin, have an inability to be racist? A unique and unbelievable perspective.

that's not a wholly innacurate statement. Look at all of the murder and sex that dominates Hollywood films. Look at the slave trade and who bankrolled the slavers reparations, look at the theft of the valuable gems of southern Africa, look at apartheid South Africa and who funded it. It's safe to assume that somebody is hell bent on destroying Africa and Africans but do you see Africans retaliating?

That's called enlightenment, you could learn a thing or two from Africans if you weren't so prejudice towards them like they offer zero spiritual guidance.

So basically you say Africans are racist but offer zero examples when pressed.

    Don't waste my time plz.

No, I said black people (regardless of where they're from) can be racist, exactly like people of literally any other skin colour. Racism is a human trait, not an (ironically) racial trait.

I linked the Wikipedia page to a whole load of examples (with references, which is what makes Wikipedia useful). I can understand you don't want to know or accept the truth but somebody else may well do.

So you refuse to post any proof of your wild assertion, it's more likely projection of your own persona, your belief that black ppl are racist. I'm not interested in links, if you had read your own link and found proof you would quote that reference, clearly you've found none to back up your claim.

A father cannot hate his son for a mere thing such as skin tone.

So you agree a particular race (not individuals) spreads filth and degenerate behavior, that would seem to make you a racist as well. You then go on to list atrocities suffered at one time or another by blacks thinking that frees individual blacks from the accusation that they could be racist, well it doesn't. Two separate issues one is your rationalized excuse to leave the Black individual guiltless.

It's pretty safe to assume there is only one race that spreads death and destruction around the globe on unprecedented levels, my race (white).

LOL! Claiming no blacks are racist, is a racist statement. They are people with faults just like anyone else. Some blacks are racist. Your crackpot challenge doesn't require proof. It is self evident unless you're racist.

As a white guy growing up on the Compton border, I was subject to racism from both blacks and Latinos.

    ^^^

    This guy is projecting.

He's also using "anecdotal" evidence :truce:

A father cannot hate his sons skin tone fyi, he therefore hates himself if it were the case, which incidentally isn't racism lol
