In demonizing tax cuts, Democrats suggest that Americans’ wages belong to the federal government. But even that insane communistic argument was not as unhinged as Warnock’s claim.

Warnock was referring to the massacre of the Holy Innocents, the episode in which King Herod ordered the death of all Jewish babies in order to prevent a prophesied king of the Jews, Jesus Christ. Christians remember this heinous massacre on December 28, the Day of the Holy Innocents.

Warnock suggested that Republican senators were somehow killing children by cutting taxes.

And this idiot thinks he should be elected to the US Senate? How much crap does he have to spew out there before his campaign will wither away? Comparing tax cuts which benefited most all Americans and led to real wage growth for the fist time in 10-15 years to the slaughter of the innocents is just outrageous.

I’m definitely not a Bible scholar but it’s a good burn on the priorities of the Republican Party.

I’d don’t live in Georgia but I’ll send send his campaign a few bucks.

Take a good look at his opponent and Ossoff’s too. Actions not words. Then get back to us

I'm surprised he could even open a Bible to read about that.

Usually liberals burst into flames if they get too close to God's Word.

Then why did poverty and homelessness increase under Dirty Donalds rule and tax cuts, while the top 10% gained wealth as never before????? Black home ownership fell to an all time low.

Ive looked into it and sent a contribution to Perdue and Loeffler. They have done a good job. Ossoff and Warnock are so far to the progressive left that there is no way I could support them.

I only burst into flames when I get to the part where it justifies torturing children in order to deter parents, who want to save their families from persecution in their own country, from seeking asylum in the U.S.

Raphael Warnock has been the senior pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church since 2005; he is the fifth person to serve as Ebenezer's senior pastor since its founding.
He earned a Master of Divinity, Master of Philosophy, and Doctor of Philosophy from Union Theological Seminary, a school affiliated with Columbia University.

Poverty rates have been increasing for months. And the highest jump in the last 60 years happened this November. Not even Bush's crisis produced such an increase.

Gosh... who could have imagined that shuttering the economy might have these effects while democrats demanded that businesses shut down so enough folks would be scared enough not to vote for Trump? Offering these statistics now seems to pretty well abuse democrats of their stupidity in the reaction to the pandemic. Bur sure, you thought you had something there... Laughable.

"Demanding" shutdowns does not increase poverty. Mishandling the pandemic does.

You mean like because democrats demanded businesses to shutter? Yeah, that is the direct lineage of the statistical poverty you're whining about now. Of course you can't defend the actions that caused the lockdowns, but you're certainly willing to use those statistics to demonstrate "need"... you circular jerk isn't working here.

You repeat the same nonsense. And refuse to answer the question: how does "demanding"... anything, produce poverty?

Absolute garbage! What produces poverty is this idiot in the Presidency trying to impose a "herd immunity" by infecting people. That caused businesses to shut down. Because people don't want to be among the 2 million+ dead that this tactic would require before they start to understand that it won't work.

You can dance around this idiot's incompetence, but Trump's actions (or lack thereof) made this virus worse than it should have been, and produced more poverty than would have occurred with anybody else in the presidency. More poverty in a single month than any other President in the last 60 years.

    Numbers don't lie.

Precisely how do you keep the economy going when you stop people from going to work?

Why do you ask me? Ask Trump. He's the one with the policy to get 70% of the population sick.

Sick people can't work, you know.... And neither can dead people.

It is a virtual impossibility. Factories and most jobs are not tailored to keeping social distancing. By necessity, you have to cut back. However, the production is required for the entire population even though a major part of the population cannot work. In short, you cannot get there from here. There has to be some risk at some point. No matter how you cut it, people are going to die.

I do not agree with how Trump has handled the virus. However, I am not sure he could do any better economy wise.

Yes. The both seem truth challenged:

GEORGIA RUNOFF: Jon Ossoff Blatantly Lies About Perdue’s Record on COVID-19 Stimulus Checks.

On Wednesday, Democrat Jon Ossoff blatantly lied about Sen. David Perdue’s (R-Ga.) record on COVID-19 stimulus checks. Ossoff and his fellow Democrat, Rev. Raphael Warnock, have seized on the stimulus checks as an issue in the Georgia Senate runoff elections on January 5. Perdue voted for the first round of stimulus checks in the CARES Act in March.

Yet Ossoff claimed that Perdue never supported the checks.

Gosh... when government forces you to close the doors of your business, the loss of your income creates the lack of income for the folks, doesn't it. And that artificially then creates the poverty that is being captured in your statistics. This isn't magic. So, I not only have not refused to answer, I have given you the answer. It is you who refuse to acknowledge the truth of that.

Exactly! And when Trump forced, out of pure incompetence, those businesses to close doors, he increased poverty at a rate we had not seen in 60 years. It has nothing to do with "demanding". It has to do with the incompetent actions of an incompetent President forcing the shut downs.

    Now we are in agreement.

Trump forced everyone by mishandling this pandemic. if he hadn't lied, instead of attempting to hide the health crisis, the largest part of the damage would have been avoided.
