That is mostly due to an increasing population. The percent of the population employed is below pre-recession levels. But Trump isn't to blame for this. There are a lot of complicated reasons for this out of his control.

So what. More people have retired and have not been replaced. Go with the percentages, not population in or not in the work force.

Here's an article from 2015 that explains the situation quite well. It's Pre Trump era meaning you might believe it.

Obama's unemployment numbers where affected by the number of people that fell off your graph because they were no longer eligible for unemployment benefits
Record low unemployment numbers for all, always wondered how dumb most Ds had to be to vote D.. and I am still amazed

Total employed, January to June 2019

    Jan.....156,694,000
    Feb….156,949,000 (previous record)
    Mar….156,748,000
    Apr.….156,645,000
    May….156,758,000
    Jun…..157,005,000

NET gain from previous record.....56,000 over 4 months, AND WE ALL KNOW WHY?

Employment-population ratio, January to June 2019.....how many age 16 and over are employed?

    Jan…..60.7%
    Feb…..60.7
    Mar…..60.6
    Apr.…..60.6
    May…..60.6
    Jun…...60.6

    ONCE AGAIN, Economically and fiscally, most records were achieved in the 90's, such as;

    ...….June 2000 employment to population ratio; 64.5%......AND THAT'S A RECORD!

    Also, Clinton's first 6, 12, 30 months economy added more jobs than Trump's last 6, 12, 30 months economy.

Republican rationale; "YEAH BUT, CLINTON INHERITED A STRONG ECONOMY!"

Question: If so, then who's hallucinating?.....Trump claimed; “This is the greatest economy that we've had in our history, the best.”

CONCLUSION: Trump only has one record; the insignificant unemployment rate.

    What improved jobs situation?

    2013 - 2.3 million added
    2014 - 3 million added
    2015 - 2.7 million added
    2016 - 2.3 million added
    2017 - 2.1 million added
    2018 - 2.7 million added
2019 - On track for 2 million jobs added

Trump has really only had one great year of job growth and that was 2018.

2 Trillion has been added to the debt, and our deficit is going to likely be over a trillion dollars a year this year with no signs of slowing in the near future. If that trend continues, Trump could conceivably easily reach or suprass Obama's level of debt added. So, again, where's your criticism of the reckless spending by Trump?

Its great! Not only can we find a job, we can collect two or three. My daughter has two. My daughter in law has two. To make the monthly mortgage, they live with a couple who rent a room and a half bath from them for 400 a month. . One of them has two jobs as well! My son has two jobs. His girlfriend has two. And they have a guy renting a room in three bedroom apartment who has just one, but he's looking for a second as well. We are sooo fortunate to live in Trump's economy..,

So... there are plenty of jobs to go around and these kids who'd otherwise have no means to own a house, now can? And they have to work 2 jobs for that? What a ****ing horror! :hiding:

The only way democrats can win is to convince the public to ignore the economy.

But people who drew them, do.

Nearly 95% of all new jobs during Obama era were part-time, or contract

Investing.com -- A new study by economists from Harvard and Princeton indicates that 94% of the 10 million new jobs created during the Obama era were temporary positions.

The study shows that the jobs were temporary, contract positions, or part-time "gig" jobs in a variety of fields.

What the lefties have to do is ignore the facts. The dynamics of the economy have changed. Those were the dynamics that Obama told you were never coming back and would not under his destructive regulatory state and acquiescence to destructive trade agreements. Obama even made fun of Trump stating he would have to have a magic wand. Well, Trump had one and it was reversing Obama's magic club.

You can't read. People are working two jobs to RENT, and then they have to sublet to someone else who needs to as well. These are part time low wage service 'jobs', not much better than having paper route or babysitting on weekends. We might as well live in Guatemala

If you listen close, you can hear the creaking when the lefties use the word "deficit".

It's a word that sat idle and unused on their side for the entire 8 years of Obama. It's a bit rusty.

A friend of mine is the CEO of a logistics company in the midwest city where I live, she told me she's desperate to hire truck drivers(local delivery panel trucks, not big rigs), and, even offering over $18/hour starting salary, she is still desperately-low on drivers.

She's held job fair open houses, sent recruiters to unemployment offices, offered free driver training courses, etc... still can't get enough drivers. The local Amazon warehouse and Fed Ex facility are plucking up every warm body that can step on a pedal, and turn a wheel, by offering even more money, and better bennies.

And it's not a lack of warm bodies that's the problem either. There's plenty of those, but a large portion of those warm bodies unfortunately pee out urine that sets the THC alarms to blaring.

Current unemployment numbers are hitting points so low that the people who are currently unemployed aren't so much unemployed as they are unemployable.

Obama had a net lose of 8% in median family income that has increased by over 2,000 dollars once Trump was elected

The number of people who work multiple jobs is very low, like 5%.

Oh, and have you ever actually been to Guatemala?

    In addition to the above, and in reference to job creations, here's the reason why Trump has to peddle harder than his predecessors;

The first baby boomer turned 65 on Dec 31st, 2010

    Number of births

    1945....2,858000
    1952....3,913,000
    1959....4,295,000

    Obama's average number of citizens who turned 65 (born 1945 - 1952); Annual, 3,385,000, monthly 282,000

    Trump's average number of citizens turning 65, (born 1952 - 1959); Annual, 4,102,000, monthly, 341,000

    Source; https://www.infoplease.com/us/births/live-births-and-birth-rates-year

Number of citizens age 65 and over currently employed; 10 million
Number of citizens age 65 and over; 50 million
    Percent employed; 20%

Table A-6. Employment status of the civilian population by sex, age, and disability status, not seasonally adjusted
    https://www.statista.com/statistics/457822/share-of-old-age-population-in-the-total-us-population/
    https://www.worldometers.info/world-population/us-population/

Average monthly job creation numbers needed to replace retiring boomers; 341,000 - 20% = 272,000

Total employed, January to June 2019

    Jan.....156,694,000
    Feb….156,949,000 (previous record)
    Mar….156,748,000
    Apr.….156,645,000
    May….156,758,000
    Jun…..157,005,000 (new record)

NET gain from previous record.....56,000 over 4 months....not bad considering the fact Trump inherited the largest group of people turning 65.

    Recommendations to increase workforce/replace retiring boomers;

    1. Reduce trade deficits
    2. increase foreign skilled workers/implement Merit-based
    3. Massive infrastructure spending
    4. Blanket Amnesty
