Our military still blow themselves up being stupid sometimes too.

These are pretty much point and click... self guiding anti-aircraft missiles with a useable range to around 11,000 feet.

Commercial airlines have no defense against them, and AQ has about 20,000 of them.

I never mentioned Al Qaeda per se on that so I wonder what your point is?

Investigations point almost 100% to TWA flight 800 being knocked from the sky by a ground to air missile like the one cited in an earlier post.

I was being flippant. Ctrl mentioned the lack of defense against these weapons then the claim AQ had 20,000 of them

They do... well... not just SA-24s... mostly SA-7s... some Chinese knockoffs... and some US stingers. That is at the center of Benghazi.

I wouldn't give a specific number out as a claim, except as an estimation, but it's undoubtedly true they have access to these weapons that Obama has supplied to Syrian rebels through CIA operations in Benghazi.
That much is accepted generally as fact now. Just another little bunch of "gifts" from the best U.S. president the jihadist movement ever had.

These are CIA estimates. 5000 claimed to be retrieved, but they were shipped to Syria... so we and AQ were both shipping some.

They are all over the AP and North Africa. The hundreds of thousands of RPGs and other weapons of war that are fueling groups like al-Shabaab etc they don't care about. They care about those 20,000 MANPADS.

Israel just installed countermeasures on all their commercial airliners.

Who is going to hold Obama accountable for all this? No one?

    Yeah....no one.

Pretty much, we've tried to expose the truth but obama and pals covered it up and claim its classified, just like they did with fast and furious.

They are also extremely unreliable in terms of actually hitting their targets (for Russian models), are highly susceptible to damage from the elements, and have batteries with very short lifespans and no commercial availability.

Because God knows, no one, and I mean no one could ever use a soldering iron and make some battery packs, right?

5 Things To Know About Libya’s Missing Antiaircraft Missiles

News from reporters and Human Rights Watch personnel in Libya say that Russian surface-to-air missiles have been looted from a Libyan warehouse. The SA-24 missiles, made in Russia, can shoot down an aircraft flying at 11,000 feet. SA-7 missiles, like the one seen here, have been reported missing, too.

Popular Mechanics has been tracking this threat since the outset of the conflict in Libya—and before. Here’s the need-to-know summary on antiaircraft missiles, including some things you probably didn’t know.

You do realize that the weapon being used in the video is a recoilless rifle, a ground to ground anti-tank/infantry support weapon, and not a MANPAD SAM, yes?

Also, anyone who thinks that he is "blowing himself up" is an idiot. That's the backblast from the recoilless rifle going off. The backblast from those things is so intense, our troops in Vietnam used them as field-expedient smoke generators when they needed smoke cover but didn't have a dedicated smoke vehicle.

Yes. I said that the US government doesn't give a (*)(*)(*)(*) about them. They only care about the 20k MANPADS... because it will cripple the airline industry once they admit that a commercial flight comes down.

Yes, because the media is never alarmist and never gets military stuff completely wrong, right. I mean we've never seem them do anything like call mine protected trucks "tanks" (http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/201...o-go-with-their-1-6-billion-bullet-stockpile/) or anything like that. They always have their information about military equipment exactly correct and would never hype the threat of something to make it worse than it actually is.

You aren't the OP nor are you the person who tried to deflect from my argument.
