What does this have to do with Obama not doing anything?

Could you point out where the goal posts are now...I cannot see them anymore.

    How about this?

All planes with passengers from the infected countries in Africa land at Gitmo and the passengers are quarantined for 21 days. No ebola, off they go. Just as plague has always (successfully) been fought.

that's a lot of Spanish tourists.

Stop at Gitmo or go elsewhere.

A lively Spanish tourism trade is not worth a US epidemic.

People here try to draw parallels between the US and Rome.

In 165 A.D. Rome was going great guns, just as it had been since the end of the Punic Wars, four centuries earler.
Between 170 and 175 A.D. the European littoral saw a series of plagues. It is hard to get a handle on just how many people died but there are indicators.

From the time of the Marian Reforms until 180 A.D. the TO&E strength of a Roman Legion was officially 5,000 men. In 180 A.D. the authorized strength was 3,000 men. There was no war-fighting innovation that made the Romans anymore efficient. They just couldn't find enough able bodies to fill the ranks. In most provinces Legionnaire was a sought-after career path as it led to Roman citizenship and a substantial grubstake for retiring veterans.

From the earliest days of the Republic and through the first two centuries of the Empire, the Roman Army was an infantry army that hired cavalry and siege engineer mercenaries when needed. After 180 A.D. infantry was replaced by heavy cavalry. Horse soldiers are more expensive but are far more mobile. Fewer cavalry formations could cover more terrain than the same number of Legions.

After 180 A.D. water and animal power began replacing slaves.

Inescapable conclusion: Rome ran out of people after the plagues and obviously fertility could not make good the losses.

    Plagues can do that.

Border control is a subset of national defense.

Yup. Them too. If they are from anyplace exposed, its quarantine or go elsewhere.

There were some very big winners with 9/11. Jeebus, we had a 100% increase in gun sales alone. Must be because every once in a while there is an Arab sighting. My town is also big in the defense industry.

We already have procedures for this, what exactly do you want them to do? Pass more laws that Obama will ignore? We elect a leader to lead on things like this. Obama needs to do his job. The dumbass wasn't even smart enough to understand the concept of contagion after it was explained to him. He is either stupid or wanted the contagion to come here. Im going with stupid, from what Ive seen he isn't smart enough to lock his front door much less mastermind attacking his own country.
Will you guys ever hold this guy accountable for anything? The answer is no isn't it.
