Republicans caught lying about Hillary

Representative Elijah E. Cummings, Ranking Member of the House Select Committee on Benghazi, sent a letter to Chairman Trey Gowdy warning: "It now appears that someone who was given access to the Select Committee's documents leaked doctored information to the press in order to make unsubstantiated allegations against Secretary Clinton."

Rep. Cummings explains in a letter send to Rep. Gowdy:

Dear Mr. Chairman:

Documents released recently by the Benghazi Select Committee demonstrate that a Member of the Committee, a staffer on the Committee, or someone who has been given access to the Committee’s documents inaccurately described to the press email exchanges obtained by the Committee in a way that appeared to further a political attack against former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

The emails were not included in documents originally turned over by the State Department.

Now that the emails quoted in this story have been released, it is clear that this source provided the following inaccurate information:

First, the source claimed that Secretary Clinton wrote “Thanks, I’m pushing to WH” in response to an email from Mr. Blumenthal on October 10. In fact, she did not make that statement in response to this email. Secretary Clinton was responding to a completely different email more than a week earlier, on October 1.

Second, the source claimed that Secretary Clinton was responding to a suggestion from Mr. Blumenthal that Philippe Reines circulate links to four Media Matters articles that refuted the way the “right-wing media” was covering Republican statements about the Benghazi attacks. In fact, Secretary Clinton was responding to an email from Mr. Blumenthal forwarding an article from Salon.com reporting that Republicans were planning to claim inaccurately during the presidential debates that the White House had advance knowledge about the Benghazi attacks and failed to act on it. The article included no reference to Mr. Reines at all.

My take:

This Benghazi "scandal" orchestrators are getting desperate because it's the last shot that the GOP has at getting Hillary. This is because it's not about justice but taking down the competition. Gowdy is a fraud leading a kangaroo court. He uses the bench to yell at conservatives and government employees.

It turns out that Hillary's emails with Blumenthal vindicated her, thus the need to insert false information that suggest that they discussed the Benghazi attacks and failed to respond -- which perpetuates the years-long assertion from Republicans that Hillary didn't care about the Benghazi deaths.

 

None of that is true, and hillary violated the law and used a private server for classified emails.

If hillary had followed the law, all her emails would have been provided by the state, not hillarys discretion.

Hillarys lies deceit and willful violation of the law, have created this controversy, and no one can dispute that.

Furthermore, it seems the obama administration was obviously complicit with hillarys national security breach as well as the deletion of subpenaed emails from the IRS.

obama promise of transparency in his administration has been repeated proven to be just another lie in a steady stream of lies spewed forth.

The American people arent stupid enough to believe this bullcrap, which why only hillarys personal media outlet will spew them. aka Media Matters.

 

These mischaracterized emails were published by Politico, but were sent to Politico from Trey Gowdy's team. Politico wrote a correction and not an apology to Hillary for posting these lies from Gowdy's team. Meanwhile, Gowdy is expected to remain quiet about this real scandal, and focus on his fake Benghazi scandal.

How is a public smear campaign not a violation?

Republicans have said that she issued a stand down order, that her emails were hacked by Russians, that she didn't care about the deaths of Americans in Benghazi, and all kinds of other nonsense. It's childish and desperate.

What is so comical about exposing Republican lies? Gowdy's committee was a farce from day one, and it's truly hilarious.

And he likely won't apologize to Hillary Clinton. He's a sleezy as he looks.

They'll move on to their next fake scandal. I think this is the 12th Benghazi inquiry. They're doing anything and everything to take Hillary down. It's not about dead Americans. It's about taking out Hillary.

You know, if Hillary had turned over the e-mails in the first place, as she was required by law to do, then none of this would have happened.

 

This latest claim reminds me of the Republican lie about Hillary's alleged "stand down" order. There was no stand down order, but that didn't stop her detractors from promoting the lie. America will get wise soon enough.

None of this changes the fact that Hillary broke the law.

She was required by law to turn over the e-mails, and she didn't.

Not only that, but the evidence is clear that of the ones she did turn over, she deliberately edited some of the e-mails before turning them over. Which makes her a federal felon. That's Obstruction of Justice, and it's a High Crime and Misdemeanor and it qualifies for impeachment by anyone's standards. Therefore, if she ever does get to the White House, she should be immediately impeached. There's already enough evidence to make that stick.

The real story here is the Politico may have gotten it wrong and it's revealed that the Clinton's State Department got their talking points from Media Matters.
Media Matters ? No wonder the entire Middle East is a complete basket case today if members of the Obama administration are relying on Media Matters.

 

What would be the point? This is this election cycle's "Birther" issue. The lunatic fringe has latched onto it with all their might, and they aren't going to let this go no matter what anyone says about the issue. Despite the fact that most of these people have no idea where Benghazi is without googling it. They actually will continue to believe that Obama and Hillary personally went to the embassy stormed it, and personally executed those Americans.

This is how bad this is, there are actually conservatives out there that believe with all their hearts that Obama and Hillary were the shooters in the Benghazi attack.
