Retail Earthquake: All These Big-Name Stores Closing

    Many people simply do not have the disposable income they once did, or their finances are strained taking care of underemployed family members.
    So consumers have cut back on frivolous spending.

    There is also a trend towards Americans eating out less. Much of this has to do with the economy, but the average family size is also bigger (changing demographics), and with good jobs being in short supply, more women are choosing to stay in the home.

    Keep your eyes out for restaurants closing, especially moderately expensive ones located in lower middle class neighborhoods.
