    This has been known for a long time (initial study cme out in the 80's I think?). This is why the duopoly of the Republican/Democratic controlled system is hard to break- Congressmen don't care if they have to fall of the sword for their party as the know they have a job making many time what they did in Congress that will set them up for life if they lose.
