Condoleeza Rice pops up at crucial moment of 2012 US Presidental Election : - "Make the Impossible seem Inevitable ?!"
---------------------------------
[IMG]

Questions about "a New Candidate Entering the Race" of GOP's Primaries for 2012 US Presidential Elections were recently raised even by the prestigious Forbes Magazine, after noting that Polls "show Romney’s Negative rating close to 50%, and his Positive rating below 40%", i.e. even "worse than McCain" back in 2008, while"his share of the total Popular Vote cast well below 40%" now, even inside GOP, (i.e. a diminishing Minority of only 39% against 61% for his Competitors), conluding that "it's clear that Romney will ...face Difficulties in the General election campaign", when "the White House will ..escalate their Attacks on ...contenders", and, therefore, advised "to take Seriously" a "Scenario" with "a New Candidate" who "could ...Galvanize (the) party". ( See : http://www.forbes.com/sites/dougsch...r-an-increasingly-dispirited-and-divided-gop/ ). A "possibility" wich naturally became even more interesting after the unexpected, sudden U-turn by the leader of the Conservative Majority in Peuple's Votes inside GOP : Senator Rick Santorum, who hasjust anounced that he "suspends" his "campaign, (but not his "Fight"), curiously just a few Days after he had declared "Ready for a 2nd Half)". By excluding any Alternative among those already "in" the race, this obliges to look outside...

Surprisingly, it's in fact a landmark ..."Presidential" speech, at this crucial moment for GOP's Nomination to the November 2012 Elections, that experienced former White House Security Adviser and State Secretary, Condoleeza Rice, professor at Stanford University (California), gave Today, in her 1st Public appearance since 5 Years (2008-2012) at the American Heritage Foundation (Washington DC), transmitted by the prestigious, semi-official C-SPAN TV channel at the same day that controversial GOP Primaries' Candidates, former Governor, Millionaire Mitt Romney, (a frontrunner in Delegates shared by the System set up by GOP's Establishment, but trailing behind a Conservative Majority in People's Votes for his main competitors, and weakened by Negative Polls showing most People Unfavorable to him), and former Senate Chairman Newt Gingrich, (without any chance today because of the Tiny number of Delegates he got), participated in a NRA Debate at Missouri, also transmitted by C-SPAN TV, for the 1st time without the the main Challenger : the Leading Candidate of the Conservative wing, former Senator Rick Santorum, (a popular, charismatic, young politician, who succeeded, almost without Money, to attract a growing Lead in People's Votes at the Conservative Majority of GOP, winning 11 big, American Mainland States, and due to win also Pensylvania, Texas and many other States from May), shortly after his Unexpected Anouncement, earlier this week, that he "suspends" his campaign, for unclear reasons.

Condi Rice was initially expected to give just an "International Affairs" speech, but, marking a Spectacular U-turn, she focused, instead, on how to Revitalize the American Dream inside the Country, pictured as a Condition-sine-qua-non for an Efficient Foreign Policy accross the World :

- Starting by presenting in fact herself as a kind of Visionary in tune with the recently growing U.S. Popular Movement for Values, Rice stressed from the outset that, in her opinion, the American Foreign Policy's foundations are to be found in "a View of the Human History", believing that "Free Markets and Free People", based on Respect for Human Rights, Religious Freedoms, Rights of political Dissidents, Women', etc., could better guarantee "a more Peaceful and Prosperous World", "not only because it's a Moral case, but also because it's a Practical case", since "we learned, sometimes in a "Hard" way, that States who do not Respect their People, become also Dangerous States", as she warned.

Moreover, in a wider sense, "the Value of Freedom", which is "not only American or Western but for the whole World", is basically "consistent with the Development of Human Potential", Condoleeza Rice underlined, marking a key Synthesis in her overall speech, able to unite Foreign and Domestic affairs, (See infra) :

After describing the last "Decade of 3 Shocks" : with the 9/11's Deadly Terrorism, the Global Economic and Financial Crisis, and the "Arab Spring" followed by "still on-going" developments in the Middle East, she strongly denounced the fact that, contrary to what some might wish today, USA "cannot afford to pull back" and become "isolated" from such Changes which imply "Fundamental Shifts in the Balance of Power at the International Stage", as she said.

But, "more than a Tactical, it's a Strategic View" that US Foreign Policy needs, according to the Experienced former White House Security Adviser and State Secretary, Stanford University Professor for International affairs, who reviewed, briefly but substantially, USA's relations Worldwide, both "with our Allies who share our Values", (as Europe, Israel, Australia, etc), as well as Russia, (where real but uncertain progress was made), and in Asia, "where we (U.S.) have Infrastructures", but must extend "Free Trade" Agreements, as she observed, while China might "not have a Revolution", but evolve gradually "from Legitimacy based on Prosperity, to Legitimacy based on Consent", ( starting from Elections at Local level, before reaching a National level, as she noted, as well as with other 3rd Mediterranean/Middle East Countries : from Tunisia (which "seems on the right track") and Egypt (where things could have unfolded differently, particularly if former President Mubarak had heard her calls "to make Reforms"), up to the grave current problems in Syria and the "Complicated but Important" Turkey, as well as Iraq (where Religious/Ethnic Divisions extend around), but mainly Iran (a serious factor of Tension for all its Neighborhood, not only for its Nuclear ambitions, but also via its intruding allies in Syria, Lebanon and Gaza, etc).

All this moving International Situation results in an important Foreign Policy "Challenge" that "we (USA) can tackle, only if we pursue our Values" : "The World can become more Peaceful and Prosperous, if Freedoms spread" around, Dr. Rice resumed in a nutshell.

In particular, as if she acknowledged the fact that, in reality, the time for Turkey's controversial and unpopular EU bid is over, she observed that "Once, Turkey really wanted to become part of the EU, but it was ReBuffed by the European Union", as she carefully said, choosing a wording clearly pointing towards an old period of the Past.

But apparently expressing the view that EU could and should be more demanding vis a vis the Turkish Government, as far as the obvious need for Democratic Reforms and to put a real Stop to persisting (and sometimes even worsening) serious Human Rights' violations, Dr. Rice noted that the above mentioned "rebuff" was due to the fact that "EU was Concerned much more about what Turkey might do to it", (i.e. concerned about the Negative Consequences, to the detriment of Human Rights and Democracy EU standards, Socio-Cultural Integration, EU's identity and Economic Cohesion, as well as vis a vis Budget Resources, Immigration policies and External Borders' stability, that an Hypohetic Turkish Accession into the EU might provoke), "than about what the EU itself was Able to do to Turkey", (i.e. to change a notoriously Anti-Democratic, Oppressive and Retrograde Turkish Regime, eager for Military Threats vis a vis its Neighbours : Greece, Cyprus, Armenia, Iraq, Syria, Israel, etc., into a Modern, Democratic and Peaceful State, which could become, at last, respectful of at least some elementary Human Rights).

U.S.A.'s Foreign Policy affected by "Home" issues : "Freedom" in "Opportunities to develop Human Potential" = "Key"
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
However, the current need to overcome obstacles to an active and principled Foreign Policy, at a crucial stage of International developments (See above), when several U.S. Politicians and People claim that they are "Tired", and seem to lack enthousiasm for ambitious and energetic overseas activities corresponding at the High Level of America's Global Responsibilities, is, in fact, due mainly to a "Lack of Confidence at Home, a Confusion at Home", which provokes a "Lack of Will" to act abroad, Condi Rice denounced, turning suddenly but decisively towards certain Fundamental Internal affairs :

- "Today", i.e. already since the "late 20th Century", and particularly during the current "21st Century", it's "the Human Potential" which has become of "Key" importance, as, in the Past, it were "the (Natural) Resources found in the Ground" ("during the 19th Century"), and afterwards the "Industrial process" (at the "20th Century"), she rightfully observed in this regard.

>>> Thus, USA's attractiveness traditionally resulted from the "Belief that you can come from Humble circumstances, and, nevertheless, Achieve Great things", and this "has become a "Key" to Unlease Human Potential", Dr. Rice pointed out : "Because we (Americans) never believed that the Human Potential comes as a result of (Social) Classes, or Circumstances, but rather as a result of Opportunities", i.e. by giving a fair Chance to People to develop their potential. This is precisely what served also as "a Magnet" for "People all over the World", attracting particularly "the most Ambitious", (including, f.ex., a Russian-origin immigrant who founded the famous "Google" Internet Search engin, etc).

- But, on the contrary;, Today, America's interior, (similar also to other developed Countries, f.ex. in Europe, etc) faces "an Educational Crisis"; which "may become the Greatest Threat to National Security !" Because this creates "Weak Links" in Society, and provokes several "Problems", particularly when, f.ex., "the K-12 (Schooling) Crisis, which produces Unemployable People", most of whom "are Unfit (even) for Military Service, let alone for Jobs in other Sectors", as she denounced. So that we can't just stop and wait to see if and when People will get the necessary "Good Education".

In the US, this used to come mainly from "Self Government", i.e. from "the Responsibility of the Individual", from "Communities, Civil Society, Philanthropists, Faith-based People who just wished to do Good", etc., creating a kind of "Miracle", without "Class Conflicts", nor "Destructive" complaints for others' "faults", but by "the Belief that, even if I might not control the circumstances" in which I live, at least, "I can control my Response to these circumstances", so that "no matter where you come from", you can have a chance to develop, and this was "the Key for an appealing Miracle of Opportunities", as she said, obviously evoking the famous traditional "American Dream"...

- However, "this is the most Under Assault today", and "this is the main Cause for which there is a Lack of Confidence, a Lack of Energy", vis a vis the Foreign Policy action "Abroad", she concluded (See above).

- But, in the currently fast-moving International affairs, a reduced activity could in term provoke "a Chaos", which would "not last long", because "Nature abhors Vacuum, and this would likely be filled by some who do not believe in a (Democratic) Balance of Powers", possibly resulting "in the Worst of circumstances" : "a World where we cannot Protect our Values", Condi Rice warned.

- Nevertheless, expressing her "Optimism", the experienced former White House Security Advisor and State Secretary, Stanford University Professor, reminded, after the Hard Fights for America's Independence, given since 1777 by George Washington a.o. "against the strongest Military Power" of that era, (i.e. he former Brittish Empire), as welll as the bloody Civil War of 1860, which notoriously resulted in the liberation of Slaves, the development of Industry, and to the Unification of Northern American States in the US Federation, up to the 1960ies peaceful but difficult struggle for Civic Rights, when, f.ex., "a Little Girl from Birmingham, Alabama, the most Segregated City in America, where her Parents can't take her to a Restaurant, or to a Movie Theater, etc., but they had her absolutely convinced that, she may not be able to get a Hamburger, ...but she could be ...a President of the US, if she wants !" "She became Secretary of State, instead", Condoleeza Rice reminded smiling.

- In fact, History teaches us that "America has a way to Make the Impossible seem Inevitable, retrospectively !", "and I think that We Can do it again", because "it's Critical !", she declared proudly, concluding by expressing a firm belief in a positive US Future.

Speaking just 9 Days before an important GOP Primaries' vote, scheduled for April 24, Condoleeza Rice didn't yet clarify if she was inspired herself from that principle also in view of the forthcoming, November 2012 US Presidential Election...

>>> In fact, experienced Condoleeza Rice could be a perfect Match to popular Senator Rick Santorum !

http://pic100.picturetrail.com/VOL767/13388798/24042571/402084062.jpg[img]

=> What a ... "Coincidence" !

See : http://www.christianforums.com/t7643213-3/#post60108183

>>> Instead of a "3rd Man" (as several mainstream Media asked recently), .... a "3rd Woman" !

===>>> The 2012 GOP Winning ticket ?

Condoleeza Rice as New POTUS, together with Santorum as VP ?

(i.e. the other way round of what we had suggested initially : See link above)

>>> The Popular Values Movement and experienced, gifted mainstream American Dream, (both charismatic), United together ?

+ A fortiori, since there is nothing else left for 2012, why not ?

If it's well crafted, (f.ex. on Commitments on core Issues, etc), it looks as if it could probably become a really revitalized GOP 2012 WINNING FORMULA !

+ But there is also much MORE :

>>> .. "You want to do something bold ?"

=> "put Condoleezza Rice on the ticket, and watch the Obama campaign go crazy !" ....

--------------------------
+ Van Jones, a former environmental advisor in the Obama White House, threw a brand new name into the realm of (vice)presidential speculation: former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, who served under George W. Bush.

- "She ticks off a lot of boxes as far as women, persons of color, but she's actually tested, she's a national figure and she has foreign policy experience" Jones said. "You want to do something bold, put Condoleezza Rice on the ticket and watch the Obama campaign go crazy." ....

She is articulate and very smart as well as likable by most people. Obama would (*)(*)(*)(*)e himself if she was the VP nominee.

You bet you @ss they would. :) And I doubt Condi would get the same hatred aimed at her that Sarah Palin got! The only thing obama would be able to use against Condi was that she was Secretary of State under George Bush! :)
