It's not too often that a news article ruffles my feathers to the point of blogging about it, but I've had just about enough of Rick Perry. Lo and behold, he puts his foot in his mouth...AGAIN! His opinions regarding homosexuality are destructive, and I'm not even gay! I've pasted the link below for your reading pleasure. It saddens me more than anything that there are people out there who think of homosexuality as something that can be fixed, like a disease. When does the equality begin? When does the healing begin? When does the acceptance begin? What if I grew up being told that heterosexuality is a choice and that if I work hard enough, I can resist it? How would that affect me psychologically? I can only imagine the damage that it would do to my self-perception. I blame religion. I really do. I think it all stems from religion and what the bible states as truth.
