Conservatives and neoconservatives want their country back. NOW! Many have been convinced by the far right wing that tearing down the government established by the Founding Fathers with government shut-downs, financial default, and armed insurrection was the plan of the Founding Fathers.

Those hoping for this apocalypse are certain this destruction will hand governmental control over to conservatism and so cure all the “problems” caused by the poor, the elderly, the disabled, and every other lazy freeloader now stealing from the hard-working right-wingers and the harder-working super-rich.

Can these lunatics truly believe they will remain unscathed by such an economic catastrophe? Who will really win in such a disaster? Perhaps they should research the worldwide effects of the 1929 Wall Street crash, and realize which few people benefited and how many millions of people were wiped out financially.

It took a World War to end the Great Depression, but, with the U.S. government in shambles (and it will not be the only government wrecked) as the right wing “revolutionaries” wish, who is going to organize, finance, and fight the inevitable wars between the power hungry to protect the conservatives’ and neoconservatives’ newly acquired personal ownership of the former United States?

The short-sighted supporters of government outsiders like The Donald and The Brain Surgeon must believe whichever of these two become POTUS, will simply wave a wand and everyone conservatives and neoconservatives view as intruders in “their country” will evaporate.

All will then be well. Conservatism will rule. All citizens will be of one mind, and all citizens will have equal say.

When reality finally sinks into the thick skulls of the “right wing revolutionaries”, at least those that survive, it will be far too late. These former revolutionaries and all those “lazy freeloaders” they’ve been taught to hate that remain alive, will be subjugated by the real winners. The winners' mercenaries will see to it that the riffraff, all the riffraff, do as they are told.

Despite their belief of being invincible American gun owners, and as part of the riffraff, they will fall before the rulers of the New World Order their idiocy helped create.

As long as we can still support Israel it doesn't matter what happens to us.

    They are the chosen ones.

That support is unlikely once the extreme right gets their way. They'll be busy with other battles.

Good, we need to take our oil back and besides that, war is good for the economy.

I think it is too late "to take our country back." America is a PC nation and PC rules.

My favorite part of these types of conversations is when people try to tell others what the Founding Fathers would think of something, as if anybody alive could even begin to guess what the Founding Fathers would have to say about a world hundreds of years after they were even alive. Obviously, nobody does. Those people were influenced by the world they lived in just like we are, and so if the world is different, so too would there perspectives and takes on things.

I'm not saying they would have all been communists of jabberwockys or militant conservatives. I'm saying nobody actually knows what the hell they would be.

Would they all decry big government? Or would some see the obvious necessity of a big government for a big country, one exponentially larger than anything they could have seen or imagined. Technology changes the game as well.

In truth, nobody knows what the Founding Fathers would do now, they only know what they did then, in their world, with the conditions that existed there. And there, is not here.

The founders were all over the place even when they were alive.

Heck, in Marbury v. Madison you had founders arguing on each side of the issue about what the constitution meant.

Basically if the founders were alive today they would encompass all sides of the political spectrum.

Have you ever thought that it might not go the way you want? BTW did you know that the majority of those in combat arms in the military have conservative values? Not many libs with the trigger pullers.

Reactionary thinking is always on the wrong side of history.
Anyone who wants to take the country back is looking in the wrong direction.

The far left loons and fruit loops of this country will eventually destroy it. There is one train of thought that this is the only way to show what Progressive and Socialist programs if left unchecked, will really do. The only silver lining is that those views will forever be a four letter word.

What version of "Back" do we take our country to?....The one from Leave it to Beaver that never existed, The one from Donald Trump that can't exist until people at least explain how, or the dream place still awaiting mindless creation after 40 years of praying. Face it folks...things are a bit different today than they were in 1776 and much of the thoughts found there don't work anymore.

It would seem that there are those adamantly opposed to both progress and reality...these people cannot lead our country into the future, they can only drive us back to a non-existent past.

They appropriate America. I mean, they act like they not only own America, but they are the only true Americans. "And if you don't like it, move to Russia."

They are frustrated that America is changing in ways they dislike, and they can't do anything to stop it. They think that an outsider like them can help, so they are looking for mavericks in Washington like Trump or others with no political experience. They think these outsiders will set things right.

Since they believe they answer to a higher power and the good of the nation, they think it's fine to cheat. They gerrymander, support biased voter laws, fear monger, and flat out lie to get votes. As a result, the Right controls both Congressional houses and state houses across America. But their problem is that it won't make any difference. America will never engage in a race war, refuse gay marriage, kick out millions of immigrants, adopt religion into government, give anyone a gun, become isolationist, or revolt against the government.

The aggression that we're seeing from the far right is a result of their frustration in continually being denied what they want. They want to go back but that is impossible.
