I know with the power of hindsight it is easy to make these types of assumptions but really Romney could have beaten Obama had Obamacare been rolled out last year.

Even if the Shutdown happened with in the same year, Obamacare/Affordable Care Act is a mess. With the massive about of "misspoken" item that Obama has talked about and the IT mess his rating is one of the worst.

I do really feel bad for him as a President having to deal with this type of nightmare. I feel having Romney in office this would of never happened since he is a business man. Businessmen know how to accomplish task such as making sure a few websites will run properly. I know with any president in office there would be glitches and haters on what happened, but with Romney it would of been one or two states having troubles not all 50.

An article on Rare.us points out how only four leaning states voted differently, Obama would of been a private citizen and not our President. Check it out for your self here.

What do you think? Would Obama still be president today if the Obamacare of rolled out last year?

I think there is a large group of people that will ignore everything crappy Obama does and vote for him because they want a socialist country with big government.

So now you know why it was rolled out three and and half years after it was written.

Mr. Obama was not prepared to risk his job for his signature legislation......

Interesting, the same people who predicted that all this would go down, are now saying 95 million people will lose their plans....more than three times the people who were too poor to afford one.....three for one, that's good social policy.

However, by the same token, Willard would not have been the GOP nominee in 2012 if his successful WillardCare, the model for the ACA, had not been rolled out in 2006.

It was, by far, his singular claim to fame.

Given that the 60 million Americans who twice elected him did not want or get "socialism" (To the contrary, what they got was a capitalist's dream: record high corporate profits, CEO salaries, and Dow Jones averages, and not a single industry nationalized,) and given that, whatever you believe Americans will vote to elect him to, it will be some office other than POTUS, your negative fixation would appear to be irrational. Try to recover.

Obama ran 2012 as 'win at any cost,' including the character assassination of Mitt Romney!

Romney is 10x's the man Obama is,,,Obama has never been accused' of having 'integrity, as that word is not allowed in Chicago where Obama cut his political teeth..

Romney might have won if so many republicans hadn't voted for Obama, since it was clear to them that a corporatist president (even moreso than the liar, Obama) would be the entire ruination of what was left of our economy.

My favorite Romney line; "I know how to bring the jobs back". Of course you do. Re-open all the factories you closed.

I have to say that I agree with the OP. If there had been Obamacare last year before the election, Romney would have won and we'd already be at war with Syria and I'm sure a bunch of rich guys would be enjoying lower taxes.

Rasmussen and a few deluded folks were actually predicting a Romney win - some even a landslide - on the eve of the election.

It's much easier to muse about "what ifs" retrospectively, without fear of reality ever contradicting you.

Would the Bush have been defeated in the electoral as well as the popular vote in 2000 if folks had anticipated his $2 trillion fraudulently-pretexted nation-building Iraq fiasco and the nation's economic collapse by the end of his regime?
