Here's my reference point. To briefly sum up the essence, a Mitt Romney spokeswoman apparently yesterday responded to an inquiry concerning the famous cancer ad by explaining that these people would have had health care if they "had been in Massachusetts under Governor Romney's health care plan". Although the MSNBC people at the link are doing their usual thing of defending whichever Republican takes the more moderate position (in this case Andrea Saul), in reality the clear implication of her statement was that Mr. Romney's health care policy in Massachusetts should be considered a going model for the nation...which pretty much effectively makes the case for not repealing the Affordable Care Act. Everyone but these MSNBC propagandists could figure that out, including Mr. Romney's own support base and its various celebrated talking heads such as Rush Limbaugh and Anne Coulter (as you'll see at the link). Therefore I ask you: What, in your mind, does it say that even such an important person in the Romney campaign would, for all intents and purposes, endorse the Affordable Care Act or at least its essential purpose?
Now THAT'S a gaffe haha, Romney has no shot now, if he tries to attack Obama on the Affordable care act (even obamacare) they can just show what his spokesperson said, big blow to their campaign Edit; When you have the whole right wing even Rush saying "$hit, we might have just gave it away" that's how you know it's a real problem
Romney's base does not like ObamaCare and neither do most independents. As long as Romney keeps his promise to repeal ObamaCare we will overlook his past life with RomneyCare.
a lot of hard core conservatives in my neighborhood and as far as I can tell no one voted for Romney in the primaries but we all agree ANYBODY BUT OBAMA. Romney may not be perfect but he is miles ahead of Obama in understanding the economics which is my main concern right now if a state votes for a universal plan for their state then that is fine, the people of the state know what is best for their state. Federal government needs to be kept out of that decision
Those people did have healthcare. The "famous" cancer ad is being exposed as a lie. http://whitehouse.blogs.cnn.com/201...-wife-of-a-laid-off-steelworker-not-accurate/ Touches the heart doesn't it? Great script for the "feelers" to feast on. Cold Romney...made them lose insurance and the poor lady died!! But we see that: How low can one person sink? To use the death of someone like this, and lie about it...for a political gain? And run ads on this lie?? Anyone supporting this kind of liar and crook should look at themselves in the mirror and be ashamed.
Yes, it's a huge lie, and a huge demonstration of the character of Obama..and of anyone who goes into a Ballot booth and pulls the trigger for this kind of person. To him, a womans cancer death means nothing. It is nothing but a puddle of mud to try and dishonestly throw at Mitt Romney...a good Soundbyte. Sorry boutcha wife mang, but (*)(*)(*)(*) her I need some votes. Ads like this once again show who the better man is. We cant have a classless child like this in Office for another 4 years.
Yes... the ad was way over the top, and horribly inaccurate... which is what the Romney aid should've focused on. Instead, she did this... which is what this thread is really about.
In less than 15 minutes this turned into some kind of bizzare sight ... we have an Obama attack-ad of alleged questionable integrity ... Faux becomes outraged and says that Obama has called Romney a murderer ... Andrea Saul doesn't check with Romney before claiming the woman would have been saved if she lived in Massachusetts ... the Coultergeist & Rushbo go ballistic about what a loser Romney is ... then Willard has to hold an emergency press conference to address the whole healthcare issue ... Ever watch a CPAC or Values Voter Summit ? They're essentially conferences where *Family Values conservatives* inform the world in calling for the *Final Solution* for Dems/Libs ... I can't wait for the RNC ... who in their right-mind would miss the insane-right-wing choosing their dear leader ?
I shook my head watching it. That's a very personal moment, and to know that the individual featured in the ad was willing to lie about his wife in order to help a politician was especially sickening. I know it was a Super-PAC ad, but I'd be rushing to separate myself from it if I were Obama. Watching Robert Gibbs on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" was disappointing, because it's easy to just say "it was over the top", but he wouldn't. Effective, but in all the wrong ways. but on to the aide.... wtf was she thinking? Yeah, I know how that sounds. She wasn't incorrect, but she didn't help. I think this predicament is rather sad, as Romney and co. can't even stand on their principle accomplishment without it being a plus for the other side.
