Jeez...it's not like what he is saying is so complicated...it's just common sense to me.

You don't spend money you do not have.

The solution to too much debt is NEVER more debt.

Stop ramming the American military down everyone's throats.

for example, ron paul panders to the tax protestor movement by supporting the mistaken idea that income taxation is unconstitutional

I believe it goes a lot further than himself "believing" it to be unconstitutional when it really comes down to the fact it is reminiscent of Medieval Feudalism. The Lord/Government has a right to take a portion of your work and if you deny them you'll find yourself being imprisoned or killed. It's really the mentality of it all that he opposes.

    OK

    I'll play along..

Every guy who has run for office says "you don't spend more money you do not have "
They Either spend has much or more and or raise taxes and fees.

Where has Paul ever done what he claims he can do ?
What makes him so different than all those other people that said Exactly the sane thing ?

Do we ram our military down everyone's throat ?
    Where and when ?
When would Paul send troops into battle..he needs to be more clear than simply saying doing away with wire tapping and CIA operations and bringing all our troops home is some sort of national defense PLAN ?

I call it pandering to simple minds..
    like 999.
    peace not war.
    Nice political idea.
nice way to earn more money.

I see your new attack dog is: It is impossible for anyone to be a great President unless they have been a POTUS or run a state before?

So Pres. Harding - who actually balanced the federal budget DURING a depression...was a crap POTUS?

And Abraham Lincoln - who also never 'ran' a state - was a crap Prez too, eh?

    Have a sane day.

    You're getting the point.

Being a doctor is not running a business.
Being in the military is not leadership.
Being old does not equate knowledge and experience.
Reading Books does not educate you or make you some sort of economic genius. It educates you on some ideas.. you must then add to by using those book learned principles in practical usage.
Being a Mayor..a governor..PTA president..anything where you ARE THE FINAL solution and cannot hide behind some one else.
I truly believe that leadership is TAUGHT...Learned ..and grows with training and experience on the job.It is not a God given talent.

The President of The United States is the FINAL EXECUTIVE POSITION..not the 1st.
You do not hire beginners and expect greatness...
You may get lucky ..but luck is not the best quality to promise any future voter..

Vote For Paul in 2012.You may get lucky ?

Income tax was ruled unconsitutional, then the 16th amendment was ratified.

So President Lincoln was a failed President was he?

And btw - what leadership experience do you have?

I mean, if you have never been a leader - how can you know what it takes to be a great one?

Or do you think one needs to have no experience at something to be able to give advice on how one should do that thing?

mm.. You do know that America fought a civil war and he was assassinated ?
By today's standards..that might not rank right up there on my bucket list.
    Have I ever been a leader ?

Yes.. probably more than Obama was.
    Little league..Team Captain.
I won my trades highest award as an apprentice.
I was just about always the foreman in my trade..for 35 years.
I was elected president of my Bowling league.
    President of my atv club.
    President of my 4x4 club.
I take disadvantaged kids on off road trail rides..
I sit on the board of directors in my county's bowling association.
I was elected township delegate last presidential cycle.
I donate and run a bowling tournament for the food shelf.
I help coach high school bowlers..

58 years of experience in a varied life..living in different parts of the country.
That is nothing compared to what millions of others have to offer.
I have never been arrested or divorced..
    Millions more can say that..

    so the big question is..

Why do we settle for garbage in our elected officials ?

And your point is what? That he was not a great Prez because he got shot while watching a play?

And do you think Running a bowling league et al takes as much leadership as what Ron Paul has done?

I agree with you here...which is why the status quo like Romney and Obama should be out. Common Sensors like Ron Paul and Gary Johnson should be in.
