Ron Paul handled that about as well as he's handled other "situations" in which he has found himself cornered.
Then IMO, he is not qualified to be president. If you cant handle Bruno, how are you going to handle a situation that is actually serious.
I think he is hilarious! And I am glad there are people like you out there that believe he is not, because it makes for that many more moments of enjoyment for me.
I would not call much of it moronic, as much as I would call it standard empty humor without much creativity. If you look in to some of the humor Sasha Cohen has been involved it, it is applied intelligently by exposing our own racist ways without us even realizing what is happening. It is not only very revealing, but also very funny in how it does it. By taking those who are to serious about life and their biggoted beliefs and makes them reveal them without even knowing it.
I'm fine with you thinking Bruno is hilarious. Seriously, I am. I however, do not find him to be funny. I see him as little more than an incredibly pretentious idiot, and attention whore. That's all.
And that is exactly how he wants it to be seen by people like you. It makes for good humor. an intelligent person would realize this.
Yeah, an intelligent person with multiple college degrees, and almost 3 decades in the same profession. Look at the Borat fan club. Enough said...
The most telling thing is that you believe you have to have a piece of paper from a college to be intelligent. Intelligence has nothing to do with learning, that is just memorization. Intelligence has everything to do with applying what you know to whatever situation your in.
Did Ron Paul say queer as in gay or queer as in strange? I know that has fallen out of favor in our language as of late but he is far older then most of us. Not saying one way or the other since I have not seen this movie, I am just wondering.
Probably the slang for gay. But honestly, I can't really blame a 76 year old man for saying something that is slightly politically incorrect considering that "queer" was widely used for homosexual for a long time.
If your wife were to hold an interview and the exact same thing happen where a guy pulls down his pants while dancing, I would hope my wife, daughter, .....son would kick him him the nuts and run out if not call him worse names. This is rude, disrespectful and a perfect example why I hate a lot of gay people. They think sexual freedom includes being rude to others. Ron Paul had every rigth to storm out of that room and call the guy queer...that is exactly what he is...
If a man did that to me, you would not be able to hear what I said about it over the man's shrieking in pain. I guarantee it worse than the word "queer".
I know who he is and what he does and that doesnt change the fact that I think he is a peace of (*)(*)(*)(*). For some folks humor knows no bounds....Borat crosses the line a lot at the expense of others and this not john steward or Tosh making fun of someone, this is straight up sexual hurrassment at the expense of a public figure for personal gain... on film.
Right. Imagine what would have happened if Borat was just any old straight guy who did that exact same thing to a woman in a restaurant, or anywhere else for that matter.
Well, judging from the movie, I'd say he is about being the most disgusting queer imaginable and then forcing people to either accept it as "the way things are now", or react in horror, as Ron Paul did. Oh, yeah, real funny.
I'd agree "(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)" is the homosexuals "(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)", but "queer" is like the homosexuals "colored".
I don't think he was trying to force acceptance or make people react in horror. I think he was just trying to be funny.
He was exposing the biggotey and hatred people have.. Doing so in a comical way brings it more attention than talking people to death in a serious way. I think comedy brings a way to to get more people to relate to and understand the issue. Its hard to get upset if everyone is laughing about how the situation brings the issue to light. Unless your one of those people without a sense of humor.
Well, here's the deal... I don't care who you are, or how funny you think you're being. If you drop your pants and start dancing around & swinging your weiner at me, you'll spend the rest of your life regretting your decision to be such an idiot. It's not homophobia, it's not racism, and it's not fear or a lack of humor. It's me saying that's a line you had better not cross.
What if the guy swinging his wiener around happened to be an astute MMA practitioner? When you came to, you'd need medical treatment... for both external and internal injuries. But seeing how you'd react, wouldn't you say that RP did fairly well?
