Russia Denies Watchdog Access to Syria Chemical-Attack Site

Russia has claimed chemical-weapons inspectors cannot access the site of a suspected attack in Syria without a United Nations permit, delaying efforts to establish what happened in Douma last weekend. The suspected chemical attack was the catalyst for U.S. and allies’ airstrikes in the country last week—which Russia also blamed for the delay in inspectors gaining access to the site. A team from the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons [OPCW] arrived in Syria shortly before the airstrikes early Saturday and has met with Syrian officials, but has yet to visit the town at the center of the controversy....>>

Let us not forget how very quick they were to claim that the attack in question 1. didn't happen and 2. was staged. They didn't need any facts to rush to respond in that way. Facts only get in Russia's way.

 

but if the us can trick everone that the sites they bomb with high altitude photo shop pictures ,were chemical storage sites and research centers for biological production which i dont think they were then the un investigation team with the us can fake the evidence to look like russia was involved with the gas attack

"We are concerned they may have tampered with it with the intent of thwarting the efforts of the OPCW Fact Finding Mission to conduct an effective investigation. This raises serious questions about the ability of the (team) to do its job," he said in a statement Monday.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said last week his country had sent experts to the site and found "no trace" of chemical weapons use. On Monday, he told the BBC's Hardtalk show that he guaranteed there had been no Russian tampering.
