    I think I've been in a below 0 environment once in my life. Probably -5 degrees. I couldn't imagine it being any colder than that.

    Oh, so it happens to be warmer/colder at this point in human's brief spec of a history on the planet. But, we've been colder & warmer in the billions of years the earth has been around. Yet its all man's fault? Feeling dumber yet?

    You will go to any length to score political points!

    You so don't know what you are talking about here. The thing is that global warming is causing the polar ice to melt. This is causing variations in pressure associated with the North Atlantic Oscillation to push cold arctic air further south. The result is that winters will be colder in some instances.

    Its sort of the beauty with studying the weather. NO matter how much you're wrong, it doesn't really matter. You're always a little right and that's good enough. How many jobs let you completely screw up consistently? Hurricane predictions? How accurate are we really? 30% chance of rain and it rains ALL DAY. 90% chance of rain and not a single drop. Even scientists tell us its not an exact science, until it benefits them, like Climate Change. Then they know everything. Really? You can barely predict the rain accurately, yet we should believe you with 100% certainty that we've caused the earth to warm this past 100-ish years? Just man!

    This is pretty much what one would expect following regular disruptions of the polar vortex. Remember the frost in the northern USA back in April? That was also caused by this phenomenon. Perhaps not this cold, but at best this is an anomaly and should be taken as such; at worse, this is yet another drastic negative effect caused by a warming climate and melting poles.
