AE keeps himself busy being adorable at the sewer, though. Not sure what he sees in the place.

Pravda, on the other hand, makes even the sewer look good these days

The French and Russians can take the initiative here ..... Obama will "lead from behind".

I hope the newspaper is right, but I don't know about France. I read that even when Britain and Obama were not pushing the line for Assad to leave, France was doing so. Someone wrote that Putin was being smart in telling his forces to work with France, since that would be the best way to watch over them.

Anyway he is paying a visit to Obama now, so who knows the subtle threats he will be under...I don't trust Washington either.

Absolute panic within neocons ranks in the USA. The last thing they want is closer ties between France/EU and Russia. McCain immediately went on France24 giving his crazy solutions and literally begged French not to join Russians.

Things are moving in the right directions. Fcuk the USA. We need to do what is the best for Europe and Europeans. Doing business with Russkies.

Obama is being smart here. You can rely upon the fact that America is IN the French/Russia coalition in a big way, but we are not SAYING so. For ONCE an American is actually doing what you should do in wartime and not telling his enemy what he's doing.

America may lose some credibility with Russia/France but so what, it's not like we were best buds for a long time anyway. OTOH we will come out of this smelling like a rose to the Arab world. In the end Syria will end up a client of France and maybe Russia too which will definitely not endear either nation to the other Arabs. The US will be one nation that acted rationally and in favor of Arab self-determination.

Obama is smart, one of the few present world leaders who know what subtlety means

Smelling roses? Smart guy indeed. He is probably responsible for more civilians deaths than any other U.S president. He gave the direct orders. Basically the U.S drone operators came forward and said they are to blame for the rise of Islamic militancy in the world. They know they killed far more civilians than intended targets.

Former U.S. drone operators say strikes feed Islamist militancy

The US drone operators are only Right about how trivial their part is. That's about it!

Hm. I've never seen it do THAT, but I know it was down for a long while. It exists again now, but the population makes just the Conspiracy Theory section of this site look sane AND well-populated.

My fondest memory of the place was arguing for the longest time in his Apollo landings thread ("HOAX of CENTURY"). Got deep into all sorts of claims, and that was really my first experience with conspiracy theorists in general. Talk about diving into the deep end! It got pointless after a while, of course, especially when the likes of Alexis/Ghostwriter and Babau took over the 'debate'.

Got banned eventually for finding and posting images that were on the server with Cosssack's avatar. I didn't even realise that they'd had major problems with cyberstalking and people posting personal info, as well as coming back repeatedly with socks after being banned, before then. Probably made them a tad sensitive.

WOW ! - That bad Eh !

VADER - I don't know how you can put the Sewer & the words Look Good in the same sentence

The One thing I learned, doing time in the Sewer, was how to Insult people - I got pretty good at it too -

That skill is not of much use here however, because when ever you bring out the Real NASTY Caustic Soda
& do a thorough Job on some poor THUG,Toe or Talon - the Mods here in their infinite wisdom delete you :steamed:

BTW - We will probably be scratched here for off topic blabber - & it's all Talon's fault  !

LOL - I remember that godforsaken thread.

My favorite memory was when Alex Seredin got exposed - I can't remember his nick, but I do remember that he was a seething ball of Jew-hatred. In fact the article the hacker posted is still online - the Peter Pan-Hitler cartoon is a riot:

    NET HATE IN NEVERLAND
    http://www.browardpalmbeach.com/news/net-hate-in-neverland-6308310

Anyhoo, I made some crack to Coastal about it and Neme(*)(*)(*)(*) bardaked me for perpetuity - it was one of the last times I posted over there.

Yeah, they had a major problem with hackers, and as you may recall Neme(*)(*)(*)(*) and Zhurn constantly blamed the pranksters over at the Cornfield for that (I don't know if that was true or not). While I was never targeted, it was another reason why I left. Like you said before, good times, but after a while you start realizing it's unhealthy to expose yourself to people like that, no matter how fun it is to verbally abuse them.

I say this is awesome.....it's about time someone else put in the blood and treasure needed to deal with bad guys.

In my opinion, had the United States been deeply involved no one else would have stepped up....they could just sit back and watch as usual.

It would have been a decent forum had Nemesis not been Zurn's wife. She was more intent on punishing anyone who didn't go along with her viewpoints, than on holding discussions. I noticed the same thing with some moderators on another forum as well. Of course everyone has an opinion, but you can't be a moderator on a discussion forum and insult those who have opposing viewpoints.

Anyway the moderators on this forum are excellent...

The operators are having a lot of psychological problems about killing people...as they should. Hmmm, I wonder how Washington is faring with their burden? Oh that's right I forgot, they're sociopaths.

The Cornfield has cyberstalkers among its ranks, actually. I have first-hand experience with that. One of them (Charlie Vike) is still registered here under the name of Nemesis and still has a picture of me gained through cyberstalking as his avatar, and one of Chornyvolk as his profile picture. A few of the Cornfielders made quite a lot of trouble for Pravda, but then Pravda was also managed by idiots who may have started the trouble and sure didn't know how to deal with it.

Now there's some joker at the CF using Ronstar's name. Seems to have a connection to AmericanSamurai. Coastal still stops in there on occasion.

Who knows? That (*)(*)(*)(*)hole was a playground for hackers. I can remember when they exposed your ID, Eadora. I may have played rough over there, but there are some lines I am unwilling to cross.

Yeah the French have been itching to jump off. They have wanted to hit Syria, go after Assad. Going back to BO peep drawing a line in the sand.

They wanted to jump off in Libya. But trembled putting people on the ground. Then they needed us to help them with Mali.

Of course, that was all after their play in the Ivory Coast.

Now they are willing to jump off as they know the Russians won't be stopped by a PC left leaning crowd.
