    The Israel lobby is outraged.

The peaceful demonstrators from IGIL suffer, Al-Qaida human rights defenders are suffering, ordinary tillers from the Front of An Nusra are suffering, doctors without borders and medical diplomas from the "White Helmets" suffer. Suffering Republican senators in a distant stronghold of freedom (Senator John McCain has already suffered).

Also a no-fly zone has been activated over Latakia province (HERE) and the Russians will now use their EW systems to suppress communications, radar and satellite navigation of combat aircraft involved in hostile activity (HERE). It has also been reported that a Russian SU-35 intercepted a USAF F-22 over Syria (HERE).

    A round up below:

There couldn't possibly be a worse time for Washington to be dysfunctional. And with the EU in meltdown too?? And now this painfully obvious provocation of Russia??? Think I'll have an early night!

US 'foreign policy' consists of threats, deception, insults, and military aggression. It's been that way for years.

My opinion is that with one thing and another - not the least of them being the resurrection of the 'Russian interference in the presidential election without any effing evidence whatsoever' saga - Washington is presently undergoing some kind of moment of madness; most countries do have them. Let's just hope that it's only temporary, and sanity returns before something is started that they can't stop?

Another irony is when president Trump said yesterday that (paraphrased) 'Iran is spreading death and destruction throughout the region', and this only a few weeks after the US, UK and France were doing exactly that??

Trump is having a difficult time. Every time he steps away from the world either Russia or China step right in.

I'm afraid moments of madness only end up with major calamity's. Let's hope not this time, but I'm afraid my hopes are in vain.

What Trump said was that the US is good, Iran is bad, globalism is bad, Israel is good, Saudi Arabia is good - the usual. Oh I forgot Russia, Syria and N. Korea. I wonder if he said they were bad too?

I heard he was laughed at which is interesting now that I think of it. Obama was spitting out one lie after another at the UN, yet no one was laughing - which surprised me at the time. Was it because he's black, and it wouldn't be politically correct, or because the US was in a more powerful position then, and they didn't want to offend us?

Then again, it could have been because Obama was easily manipulated. I mean all they had to do was donate a few millions to Clinton's foundation.

I read that the US is withdrawing its missile defense systems from Syria. Let's hope, maybe we will leave altogether and the Syrian people can have some peace and get themselves resettled. Enough destruction already.

Vladimir Putin once said that a spring can only be pushed so far, before it springs back. Well Russia is finally springing back. Whoever was behind the destruction of the plane, and the death of the pilots has brought them to the breaking point

Seeing how the Syrians operate what they have now, I expect the Russians will want to maintain control, and maybe even expand their control.

It's not like they really care about Syrian autonomy anyway. They just want to protect their strategic interests there. Assad is a tool to that end.

He didn't mention Russia, and he praised North Korea. Anyone who butters Trump up enough is "good" in his view, or at the very least not worth attacking publicly.

In actuality, we are allied with the radical factions from outside syria that are fighting assad. So of course we don't want an air war against the radicals holed up because we have been using them for years to reach the goal of a PNAC driven foreign policy.

If you understand that we have lived under PNAC in essence since right after 911, and that this was the needed Pearl Harbor event that the PNAC paper said would be needed in order to indulge in this radical foreign policy. A foreign policy goal of taking down Iraq, Libya, Syria and Iran. These are detailed and listed in the PNAC paper. You could once read it online, perhaps you still can.

In other areas, man, why do these costumed up jewish people wear such god awful ugly blacks hats? I love hats, own and wear them, but this has to be the ugliest style of hat, a terrible match of brim size and style with that non appealing crown shape. Why not wear an attractive hat? Would it insult God or something?

Someone needs to reform their dress code. Get em a brown indiana jones fedora! Change that black jacket for a leather one.

It's not a provocation by Russia, they have every right to protect their men. The extra precautions are a necessity after what happened. What if the 15 men lost were Israelis and Moscow was to blame, what would the response have been then by Israel? Israel had been warned many times by Russia, but they paid no heed. Besides, the missiles could have very well hit a transport plane or an airliner.

According to the report, the Israelis misinformed them as to where the jets would be, so the Russians directed the plane to land rather than tell them to leave the vicinity. In the meantime one of the jets instead of leaving, hid behind the Russian plane, knowing that the missile would hit the larger object.

This happened right after Russia and Turkey came to a deal on Idlib, so I'm curious as to what hot head was behind the treachery? Was it the Israelis, the Americans, the French, the British or all four?

They wear the clothes and fashions of a certain era, and from the country they come from. What puzzles me are the women with their wigs. If the intent is modesty, then wouldn't wearing a striking wig be defeating the purpose?

Better to do what the Muslims do, and wear a scarf - which by the way the Jewish women did wear at one time. The wig is really a modern innovation. Besides the original intent of covering one's hair was to protect against lice. Everyone wore something. It was usually a little white cap.

Syria needs Russia's military protection to survive. It is now a protectorate - but that's okay, they like the Russians. We-ell, it's better than the head choppers.

Why do we even care what happens in the wasteland called Syria? Or is it to give our military something to do?
